I have a 2 dds (3 and 5) we did CRT when they were 18 mos and 4. We really loved it. I was thinking of trying the Princess breakfast at Akerhus this time, partially due to cost and partially due to doing something different.

1st question: Is it a good character experience?
2nd question: If I scheduled a later breakfast (10:30), would it be enough to hold us until dinner? (My party will be my mom, sister, me, and girls)

Thanks.

My mom and I went to dinner there last year. The princesses were great..we didn't feel rushed (or weird since it was just us adults). I don't know about the breakfast part. We thought dinner was one of the better meals we had.
I bet your daughters will have a wonderful time! Enjoy!

HI. My family has done both, and love both. The Akershus character experience is terrific. When we went, we met Belle at the entrance for pictures, and then Mary Poppins, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella and Snow White came to our table. After, all of the children marched in a parade through the restaurant, which was really neat.

The restaurant is smaller than I expected, though, so posing for pictures was a bit of a challenge.

The food was terrific, and it's a buffet so you can fill yourselves for the day without a problem :)

We LOVE Akershus Breakfast...it is a must do each trip for us. The character experience is very good (I think it is better than CRT, just a bit though). The Princesses are not rushed and will spend time at the table with your girls. As for the food, it is excellent and if you plan on having a later breakfast, it will definitely hold you over for a while. They have a cold bar where they have different deli meats and cheeses, fruits, bagels and cream cheese, breakfast pastries, yogurt with different toppings, lox, salmon and other fish. At your table they bring the hot plate that includes scrambled eggs, cheesy potato casserole (the best thing ever), bacon, and sausage links. If you run out of something from your hot plate and you would like some more, the servers will be happy to get it for you. You can also go up to the cold bar as many times as you like too. I would definitely recommend it to anyone that does not want to pay the CRT price....as with CRT, your picture with Belle (who you meet at the door before getting seated) is also included in the package. Have a great time.

I can't speak about breakfast because we did dinner there, but it was an amazing experience. We had five princesses visit with us over the course of the dinner, and they all spent a lot of time with us. The place is very quiet and when you add in the photo that's part of the package, it's a good deal. This time we are going to try CRT because I think every girl needs to experience it at least once, but we are also booking Akershus because my daughter insists on going there again!

We did dinner at Akershus and it was the best character experience we have had - even DH and DS liked it!

Personally, a 10:30 breakfast would NOT hold me until dinner at WDW. I would at least need a hefty afternoon snack. I personally eat 3 meals and 2 to 3 snacks a day regularly and at WDW, I must have at least that much to eat to stay fueled for the day. But that might be different for other people!

I would personally stop at a QS around the world somewhere in the afternoon for a snack.

We loved Akershus breakfast. Not sure if it would hold me, but I would do a snack or an early dinner.
