Thinking about a quick cruise next Feb. We will have two minor boys, two minor girls, and me & my wife.

Since the missus and I are the only adults in play, and we can’t be listed on multiple staterooms, there is no way to book three staterooms, is there?

No. Each room with minor children must have an adult booked in it. Why do you want 3 rooms?

Thx. The cruise I am looking at is (relatively) cheap. More room for the six of us to spread out - especially the two tween girls and the 17-y.o. guy.

But I also just realized that we could not get three connecting rooms, so I’d have to think about that aspect, too.

But, of course, you realize you'd be paying for 6 adults with 3 rooms, right? The first 2 people in a room pay full adult price.

Maybe look into a suite? With a connecting room?

Thx. I am aware, yes.

Unfortunately, the 1-bdrm suites are sold out. My only concierge option would be the Royal suite, which by itself is about 2.5x more expensive than the three 5D’s. So, no.

We are a family of 6 and find 2 connecting rooms to be more than enough. Kids are 19, 10, 8, and 2.
If you get connecting family staterooms with verandah (4A I think) those are even bigger and very spacious.

That's what I'd recommend. Get a couple of cat 4s that connect and get the murphy bed in at least one room for the 17 yr old. If I were in your shoes, I'd put dad and the boys in one room and mom and the girls in the other. Live a little and have the adults keep the queen bed ( no fighting over the bed) and the kids get the other beds. It can be the boys' room and the girls' room. You could even do your door decorations all in girly things and then guy stuff for the other door.

That sounds the best - here's a picture of a 4A (with murphy bed)

And a 4A without the Murphy bed:

Thanks, all. Shmoo never disappoints with always having just the right photos on hand.

We almost always book connecting Cat 5’s, but connecting Cat 4’s are an interesting option. Really, it’s about the bathrooms more than anything else. Those tween girls really like to “spread out” their stuff in there. Three bathrooms just sounded better than two.

But I guess DCL parties of six share two bathrooms just fine all the time. The girls can restrain themselves for a few days.
