2/9/2008 - Valentine Cruise 7 Night Western - Anyone On The Love Boat ?

With the reservations date getting closer and closer, has everyone decided on what they are doing in port?

The only DCL excursion we are booking is in Cozumel. We'll be going to Xcaret, this will allow MH to dive and me to play with my camera all day!
We've booked outside of Disney for Key West.

We're thinking beaches this time around, possibly on our own.

-Paradise Beach in Cozumel
-Sea Grapes in Grand Caymen

Last time we where in Key West, we weren't too impresses....,maybe it was our choices. But, we may stay on the ship this time around.....we're still undecided.

We booked a catamaran snorkel and dolphin tour in Key West. Since there are 6 of us, they are giving us a lower rate and only charging half price for our 18 month old.

Thanks Thea for the info. Would you know the dining rotation by any chance with kids?
Thanks again, Laurie

It's going to depend on your dinner seating more than whether or not you have kids.

This is most recent info I have regarding the first night on board:

Animator's Palate: 5:30 & 8:00 pm
Lumiere's: 6:00 & 8:30 pm
Parrot Cay: 5:45 & 8:15 pm

On our last cruise, we were the 8:15 seating and our rotation was P, L, A, P, L, A, P

Okay Thea, you have my attention. I guess I must have completely skipped over this, this looks like something my family would love. I'm gonna have to talk to DH about this over the w/e.

Hi everyone - just back from Turkey :goodvibes

We had a wonderful week - all you fellow cruisers would love our ship shaped hotel ! ...I'll post some pictures shortly.

Back to cold Britain after a week in the sun - it was hot, hot, HOT in Turkey !:cool2:

Thea - I love the look of the Dolphin Cruise too (you always have such great information !) - what a pity we couldn't have organised a private charter between us :confused3 ??? I'd jump at it too  - I've heard alot of mixed reports about Key West.....not sure we have any great desire to shuffle around the town all day.

By the way Thea, I love the dress too but I have a confession about mine :guilty: - I've returned it to the store - though it looked really nice, it was just too fitted under the bust - just not comfortable for a hot climate :sad2: ....now I'm on the look out for another:rolleyes1

Any leads on a new dress? There are plenty of places to order from online but not sure how quickly you'd receive them in the UK.

I'm going to have a day out at a big shopping mall soon - hopefully I'll find something off the peg, as I don't want to spend a fortune on a dress I'll be wearing for one day ...and that I intend to get messy with some great beach / sea shots. :)

Oh, are you gonna 'TRASH THE DRESS'? If so, that's so awesome. I wish I had seen this 11 years ago, I think these make for some gorgeous pictures.

Oh I just LOVE those types of pictures!!!! I've been trying to find someone willing to do that for my own portfolio---mind if I shadow your photographer?!

that will be sooooooo awesome. I hope you share your pics with us after the fact, I love looking at these pics. It is such a different side of the whole wedding picture thing, definately not the everyday blah blah blah picture album (like I have). I am SOOOOO JEALOUS.

Yes I'll post them on here for sure ...just don't expect some bridal-catalogue looking model in them...I'm slightly the wrong side of forty for that, and a few pounds overweight to boot :rotfl:

Oh, I know what you mean. Even though I'm not quite yet 30 (until January anyhow), I sure don't look like I did when I got married 11.5 years ago.....although I sometimes wish. I have a DS9 that seemed to play a dirty trick on my body for 9.5 months and it's never been the same since. :scared: I sometimes tease DH that if I had known, I would have waited a few more years to enjoy my youth! :goodvibes

Anyone else looking ahead to next month, when the final payment is due? Or are we the only ones not paid up yet??:)
We're making our final payment next week! :woohoo:
Just curious how many of us are trying for Palo on V-Day? I'm thinking this may be a popular date, if you know what I mean. popcorn:: popcorn:: popcorn::
I'm going to book Palo but I don't need it to be on Valentine's day. Maybe 30 years ago but not so much now. ;)

We booked beach time on Nachi Cocom in Cozumel. Mot sure yet about Grand Cayman or Key West.

We took a trolley tour when we were at Key West. I think I would like to spend a few days there. It has some great history behind it. Of course, it was also 200 degrees out and I was sweating like a fat turkey at a turkey farm the day before Thanksgiving, so I could have been delirious.

Judy, I would love to see some pictures of your vacation. I want to go stay on the Titanic!!

Thea, I love your thought for the day!! :lmao:

Halloween is just a few days away...what are the kids dressing up as?

Ariana and David are both going to be Pirates...this way we have costumes for the Pirates in the Caribbean party!pirate:

Ya, I tried and tried and tried to talk DS9 into being a pirate.......no budging there thou. He was Capt Jack Sparrow 2 years ago, so he has no interest in repeating (as he says). He's going to be Scream....yep, kinda gross with the blood gushing throuhg the mask but I guess that's what 9 yr old boys are into now.

Ya, I suppose you're right.
My DH is not much fun either, he said he AIN'T WEARING NO PIRATE COSTUME....so, I guess I'll keep looking for T-Shirts for Pirate's Night.
