2/9/2008 - Valentine Cruise 7 Night Western - Anyone On The Love Boat ?

We just received our packet last week! It got me excited about the cruise again. Never been on Disney cruise! Have been on Carnival but without kids. This will definately be a different kind of cruise for us. My youngest daughter will turn 7 on Valentine's day so that will be extra special

I'm Micaela (pronounced Makayla). And my husband Bryan, and son Brandon (turning 10 on Feb 12) will be on the ship with me. We are so excited we can't wait. This is a long time coming second trip to the Magic for us.

Good Morning!

How's everyone doing? Getting things squared away? I have a funny to share. In the mist of getting our old house packed up for the move a couple weeks ago, I paused to grab our airline tix so that nobody had any grand ideas to cancel our vacation with all we've had going on thinking it would be too much... Now that things are starting to calm down I went ahead and pulled them out to book our rental car and hotel room......and realized I booked us coming home on Sunday! Whoops! I'm guessing that's because that Sat was sold out....still is. Oh well. I guess I'll have to book us a night in FL! Thought about spending Sat at the Space Center, but the Residence at Port Canaveral is sold out. Anyhow, I thought that was pretty funny , I'm not sure DH is amused though .

We are also staying in Orlando on the Saturday before flying home Sunday night, we just booked in at Disneys Port Orleans $218 for the 4 of us, thought that was ok, that includes transfers from the ship to the hotel then hotel to the airport. Has anybody else stayed there?

It will be here before we know it

We loved this resort when we stayed there a few years ago - really pretty ...and we loved the ferry that takes you to Downtown Disney.

You get the use of both resort pools which is really cool.

One of our favorties too......Riverside is our preference (formerly Dixie Landing), probaly becuase this was our very first resort: the ambiance, the decor, the proximity! This is our first choice if not staying at DVC. Gives me an idea....maybe I can get a night here after the cruise, hum!
