So I just got a call from Disney and Costco and they asked to downgrade our room. Has anyone ever heard of this? We were at a gty Cat. 4, but they asked us if we were willing to go into a category 5, midship and give us a $2100.00 credit. After talking with the travel agent and determining that we would still have the same amount of sleeping space for the 4 of us as well as only losing 36 sq ft, we decided to go for it. $2100.00 spending money for the cruise!

Wow !! yes, I have heard of it but its fairly rare ..........I think I'd rather have the money too, as by all accounts the cat.4 is not that much roomier than the cat5/6s.

This is actually the first I've read about this, but if there are four of you, I think you'll make out great in a 5 and then have all of the credit to spend while on the trip! I'd take the deal, would mean no more cash out for stuff we'll surely spend on the ship.
