I was getting excited...but...now I'm REALLY EXCITED!!!!

Sometime this afternoon, by brain shifted gears and went into vacation mode. Sure, I've been packing, shopping, and confirming, but today it really hit me!!!!! I feel like a kid, I'm soooooo excited!

Gary...there were 5-6 other ships with us last cruise. Do you know if it is our turn to tender in next week? I HOPE NOT!!!!! It is busy, but not overly crowded. Too much to see and do in different directions.

I've been packing and repacking and driving myself CRAZY!!! I can not wait until we are finally on the plane and just done with the craziness. I still have an exchange to do today. this should be it!
This is my last day of WORKKKKKKKKK!!!! The hours will be too long.

I hope today goes quickly for you Laura! I haven't started packing yet, but have everything staged in our computer room so I'm staring at it all right now

So far my only last minute shopping nightmare is shoes. My DH picked out this beautiful white/eggshell suit for me to wear at Palo's. He has wonderful taste and 99.9% of the time I trust his judgement so I bought it and then once home realized, I don't own white heels! They're just starting to come out with spring shoes so my choices are really limited.

Did you guys read on the other thread about making reservations for Palos & spa stuff that they start taking them upon embarkation now? Guess we'll make our way to Rockin' Bar D first thing and get Friday night's ressies out of the way.

I love the 2 gallon bags! I started packing our day clothes and those bags are so great!! I've never used or even seen them before but got the tip from this site and and wow, talk about a space saver!

Andi, I was debating over getting the lanyards myself but wasn't sure if I would like them or not. Maybe if I was a bigger pin trader.

Last night when I got home from work, my daughter (2 yo) looked a little tired. Our babysitter said she had taken a shorter nap than usual but otherwise had seemed fine. I gave her a hug and a drink and she laid down on the couch. About 35-40 minutes later, I was trying on a pair of shorts on her to see if they fit (you know, still packing)...and SHE WAS BURNING UP!!!! Her temp was 104.9!!!!! Well, a quick stripdown, bath, and Tylenol got it down quickly, and she very clearly told us her ear hurt. She got a dose of antibiotics last night and today, and so far no hint of any more fever. I know it's not Norwalk (we had that 2 weeks ago...)but we and her Dr. think she has a bad ear infection.

If the fever comes back, or if she gets more symptoms, we may not be a go...I AM FREAKING OUT (to put it lightly.) We have trip insurance, but we booked with DVC points and I'm not sure if we can be adequately compensated...

Keep your fingers crossed and throw some pixie dust our way...if I'm in Studio Sea you'll know all is well...I'll keep you posted!

Oh my gosh Renee! I hope your daughter is feeling better. That was a really high fever. I'm glad to hear that at least that's under control. Sending loads of pixie dust your way and keeping my fingers crossed for you guys!

Thanks, Chrissy...I really need the words of encouragement...it helps so much to have support. The future looks brighter now than it did last night, but we'll make our final decision in the morning.

Here's an optimistic question...are we wearing anything special so that we know each other? In days past, DISers used to wear lime green ribbons to meets. If not, I'm blond, DH is Indian, kids are in between (Ali is 2 and Nick is 6.)

OK my fellow shipmates...this is it! I know I will not log on tomorrow. Char and Joe are driving in from NY tomorrow. I am so excited and happy all at once.
I am PACKED!!!! MY GOSH>>>>three full bags and two carry ons. How Looong is this cruise anyway????
Let the fun begin....the drinking starts when you see the servers carrying the drink of the day....and party hearty everyone.

I am freaking out....the weather forecast is that *S* word for Friday. PALEEEZE hold off until after 8:15am.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We will see you all at the MAG....3:00. Can not wait. My outfit for the day will be black capris with embroidery on one leg and bright blue sweater top. (reddish hair) Wayne is blond with slight mustache. LOOOOKK FOR MEEE OK! I will look for Gary and his SEP. Chrissy, I will know you from yours and Tims photo I hope!!!.

No fever for over 24 hours...our pediatrician's advice was "Have a great time!!!!"
