My, life jackets have changed in ten yrs.!! Yours were definitely *FORM* fitting. I felt like I had a turtle neck on or a medical collar because I could not move my head. YOU guys will see.......

HEY GARY...could I interest you in some really nice furniture covers for your swivel patio chairs? It happens to be my area of expertise in the spring and summer.......outdoor furniture sales. Can you believe this winter? We are expecting another storm Friday. Come ON already....

Is this getting exciting or what!!!! How many votes for a group brunch....all thoughts and ideas are welcomed. I know DH and I just loved the Happy Hour.. ( we made our own happy hour)3-4 at the Promenade Lounge each afternoon before recharging our batteries and dressing for dinner.

Hi Fellow Cruisers - Laura we would be up for either brunch or high tea if you are keeping track. It's still COLD here, too. Minus 30 outside... Gary, your deck looks like ours. Andi - We have a hot tub just outside our back door and we actually do the polar bear thing, make snow angels then run into the hot tub (Crazy I know!!). I'm trying to figure out how to insert a picture so you can recognize us but I haven't been able to figure it out yet...

Don't feel so inept...I've wanted to insert a photo also and have to have the help of my DD. I hope to get one in by the w/e.
I've had my scanner for about a yr. and still haven't gotten the hang of it. And now I have this digital camera to try to figure out also...talk about pressure!Come on oh great one Gary...give us some tips!
I don't know if I could decide on brunch or tea???? I want to do everything! Let's see how many others are interested. We could do the head count and then somehow work the details.

Hi again folks-how long is it going to take all of you to unthaw once you get on the boat? We've had relatively nice weather here-clear and cold. Now the rain has started again. Being in Portland we normally get 3 straight months of rain-so any clear weather is a welcome break. Thanks Annie for figuring out the list of people. We will have 7 in our group-my DH Scott, DS-5 Trevor and DD-3 Hayley, My sister Joan, her DH Rick, and their DD Josie-5. My husband will be jet lagged as he is arriving in Orlando Feb. 7 at about midnight. The rest of us will already be on Orlando time. Have no idea about brunch or tea but would love to meet all of you. It's getting so close, I've pulled out the suitcases and stare at them every night hoping they will pack themselves!
Just made our towncar reservation. It's a go!

You're right Patty, there are going to be a bunch of popsicles in port - us! I keep telling myself that I'll be in a bathing suit and wearing shorts, but it's such a foreign concept at this point!!

I talked to my TA to find out where our docs are and she said she mailed them on Friday. Argh! I would've much rather had to sign for them. Cross your fingers that they'll be here today.

Laura, to post pictures, you have to put them out on the web. Either on your own website like I did or with a photo service like Webshots or Yahoo. Then you use the IMG button to add the link to the picture to your post or the http button to add the url to website to your post. The board calls it vB code. Hi Everyone - Still COLD here!! And lots of snow and ice... Don't worry Chrissy, we won't be popsicles. The weather will be BEAUTIFUL!!! So far, I have everyone's names now except for Jenn31, Offwego, and Lucky2 (as well as anyone else out there who hasn't responded to our thread...) I'll re-post it soon.

Yes.........it is very cold here in The Garden State........I can not comprehend shorts and tees or bathing suits myself Chrissy. I keep looking at my clothing hanging and just waiting to be packed. The tough part is dressing from here to there! Decisions are giving me headaches!
So....keep the ol' tickers going...the days are getting shorter!!!

Hi everyone,
I think we got our docs today and my DH actually slept through the FedEx delivery Can you believe that? So now they have to try delivery again tomorrow. I can't believe it's still snowing back East. Well maybe that will make the cruise even more special. Found a really cool backpack today with a cooler area in the bottom of it-that will come in handy for touring WDW. I've been looking at excursions and think we decided to just grab a taxi and tour the islands that way. We did sign up for the Castaway Cay package because everyone said equipment gets rented out fast. Have heard from various boards that St. Maarten is kind of disappointing and St. Thomas very nice. Everyone raves about Castaway Cay. Kids and I watched the D cruise video this morning. Fun and exciting. Take care everyone,

For those of you who have received your docs, did you get the Gifts Ahoy (I think that's what its called now) brochure enclosed with your package? I was kind of under the impression that it would be included with them. My MIL is celebrating her birthday on the 9th and we were thinking of having the stateroom decorated. I got the Cruiseline Formal brochure and the flyer about excursions, but nothing about stateroom gifts. Just curious....

Sounds like everyone has their docs now!!!
CHRISSY, I did get a brochure of gifts, but it is not handy at the moment. There is, however, a website-Theperfectgift.com. I've heard nothing but good about it. You can view different gifty items and *Shirley* delivers direct to the ship. I think if you do a search, it will come up somewhere on the boards.
GARY, what happened to your time line?????? It is blank this morning. Did you jump on board sooner than the rest of the gang and not tell us??
PATTY, St. Maarten Dutch side is a little rough and rugged in environment in comparison to the French side. The hurricane a few years back wreaked havoc on the island and lack of sanitation services really were evident. We had the fortune of meeting the Port Agent while there (2001) and really got some history of the island and it's peoples' struggles. The French side draws the rich and famous, so it is a little better off. Who knows, things may have improved since our last visit. Don't let any of it stop you.......there are some beautiful sights not to be missed.

Thanks Laura. I was just wondering if I didn't get that with my docs, what else didn't I get? It's been a bit of a roller coaster ride with this TA from the start. Our friends had been on the Wonder a few years ago and used this agent and said she was "fabulous" so she made all the arrangements for our group. First our name was spelled wrong on our cruise insurance papers, then I get my docs yesterday and they're partially filled out and she had our address wrong! Okay, so I'm just fussing over small stuff. I can't complain, I'm going on my first cruise and it's a DISNEY CRUISE!

P.S. I've heard nothing but the best about Shirley. She seems so sweet and does wonderful work!

Hello all, the FedEx man actually came back to our house to attempt delivery 2 more times that day. The third try was the charm and we got our docs. We didn't get a gift basket brochure in our info either, but I have seen the info online. I actually got my sister's hotel voucher and she got mine, so we have to mail them back to each other. There's more than one TA messing up out there. We will definitely check out St. Maartin-both sides and hopefully find a good beach to hang out on. Thanks for all the info everyone. Patty

I'm glad to hear everyone is getting their cruise docs! I'm already setting clothes aside to avoid last minute laundry by the DW. We got trip insurance last week so I think we are on track as far as advanced preparations go.

Can't smile enough as the days go by. My piles of clothing are mounting and forget about the shoes...I'm trying so hard to cut back, but.... I think Annie shares this dilemma also!!
Oh...I wanted to tell you all.We are having a reunion with a friend we'd made on our 2001 cruise at RF Down Town.We had a reunion dinner last March (2002) with her and our other table partners that were on their honeymoon cruise . We had a great time reminiscing. I am so excited.

It looks like a big starburst with the Disney characters hanging off each end and stars also. The banner says Happy birthday...and all for just a mere $30.00
