2/8/03 Eastern Magic Anyone?

Thank goodness everyone here seems to be happy and healthy now :) Let's hope it stays that way!!

Boy Andi, sounds like your New Year's celebration was rockin! I feel for you though. I've had more than a few conversations with the porcelain god. I was a party pooper this year and fell asleep about 10. I wasn't able to fit a nap in during the afternoon and was just beat.

Guess I'll just have to make sure to catch up on my sleep before the cruise now won't I????? :jester:

HI LAURA !!!! ANDI HERE.... I LIVE NORTH OF YOU IN FARMINGTON CONNECTICUT.....RIGHT BY HARTFORD....INSURANCE CAPITAL OF THE WORLD.......EXCITING HUH:rolleyes:    HOLD ON MY DAUGHTER WANTS TO SAY HI.....:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :earseek:  :earseek:  :earseek: HELOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOEVERYBODEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE IM DAKOTAANDIAM6666666666666666666666666 OKOKOK BYYYYYYYYYYYY:jester: :smooth: :jester: :smooth: :jester: :smooth: :smooth: :smooth: :earseek: :sunny: :sunny: :earseek: :sunny: :earseek: :teeth: :teeth:

the anxiety is definitely alive and well in Farmington, CT. You all got hammered with last nights snow I am assuming. We got another 6 inches. ENOUGH ALREADY!!! This weather is cutting down on my shopping time!
Hey Dakota. I'm hoping you will be a good chaperone for this *wacky* bunch of castaways.
I know Annie has a DD also, her age eludes me, but I'm sure she will remind us. It would be great if you were close in age.
:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

My DD Jaclyn will have just turned 9 before we go. She loves kids of all ages and especially likes to play the "big sister" role with younger ones so I know she will be excited to meet Dakota.

We now have had rain for the last two days. Goes really well with the 20 centimetres of snow we had. The roads are like a skating rink. This is the strangest weather we have had in years. I know that it is going to be sunny skies while we are in Florida and on the cruise. I dreamed about it!!!

We met an old friend of my DH's from school who was living in St. Maarten for about 15 years. He just moved back here so we're going to get together for lunch and he'll tell us all about the islands... Of course I'll pass on any info to all of you...

nervous. Where oh, where can our documents be.....anyone else curious also? I called Char last night....no docs yet in NYS. I can't take the suspense.
I've started my little piles of this and that to put into luggage. I've been jotting down the do not forgets as they come to mind.
AND...I need to practice using my new camera! I'm bringing my good ol' stand by just in case I run into technical difficulties.!!!!

How's everybody doing after the Holidays....glad to be back on a normal schedule??? Now we can focus on one thing....................
Island Paradise's... cruisin'....tropical drinks and.........................
relaxation!!
YEE HAAA.

Gail and I made up a list of every conceivable thing that we have taken on vacation. We have it on our PC and we print it out before vacations to use as a check list. It realy helps us remember everything and gets us organized.

I checked the other cruise entries on this board and not all the 2/1/03 Western cruisers have received their docs so we are not alone.

HOW ABOUT THOSE STILLERS, OFFWEGO!?!? :bounce:

We are back to a normal  schedule.

I GOT MY DOCUMENTS TODAY!!!!!!!!!!
THAT'S ALL I HAVE TIME TO SAY NOW.:) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Am looking forward to meeting fellow cruisers on Disney Magic from 1st-15th Feb! This will be our second Disney Cruise......... and have opted for 2 weeks of luxury to celebrate Hubbies 50th on 8th Feb. To those who have never experienced Disney Cruising........ you are in for a treat! Word of advice............... for information regarding where to shop for specialised goods in ports, or the best beaches, etc., on route..... ASK CREW MEMBERS! They visit these places every week, and know EVERYTHING there is to know about where to find the bargains and best photo opportunities/ restaurants. The crew are always ready and willing to help ........... especially our daughter!Happy Holidays! It will be great!

Wow Nat, back to back cruises! How much fun is that!!

Good for you Laura! I'm happy to hear that the docs are finally making their way out. My MIL called me yesterday asking about them, so no one in St. Louis has them yet either.

In one month we'll be hopping in the car, right about this time, and driving down to start our vacation ... YIPPEE!!!!

Our family of 8 will be joining you on the Magic. Can't wait. This cruise is a xmas present from me and my husband to our son and his family and my daughter and her son. Everyone is excited and ready to sail.:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

hi nat welcome aboard... hey what does your daughter do on the ship????? what a cool job.....i wanna be a hairdresser onboard.has anyone seen that salon???? looking out to the ocean everyday! hope everyone is well...:smooth: andi

our *little* crew of castaways has grown for the FEB.8 cruise!!! Hellooooooooooo to you all.
It seems real now for me having received the docs... Char and Joe received theirs.I hope you all receive them real soon, like any sec!!!
I also received my online purchased dress.:) AND..it is perfectly fine. Gosh I really must have stepped in something lucky!
SO.......WHERE & WHEN DO YOU ALL WANT TO TRY TO MEET???
I NEED SOME IDEAS. Sailaway may be too hectic...and there isn't much time from that point on for the first seating diners to get ready and try to meet. Is everyone going to try to make Palo's ressies? ARGHHHHHH too many ?? and decisions! I just know how difficult it will be unless it is not a specific place and time.
Come on Gary...putting on that SEP and come up with a plan OK???:p

I agree - our little group ain't so little anymore :) It's great to see new faces joining our bunch. The more the merrier!!

Hmm, I guess we do need to try and hammer out the details of our meet & greet considering we only have ONE MONTH LEFT!!! Again, we're pretty flexible and open to suggestions here. At least we'll be able to pick Gary out of a crowd with his SEP. :) :) I'll go read through some of the other threads and see if I can get any ideas from what they're doing.

How about we all meet at Studio Sea on Deck 4 Between 3:00 and 3:30 P.M. before the Boat Drill? The Promenade is on that deck so that's were the boat drill will be. You might want to bring your life jacket with you so you can go directly to the boat drill from there. I will have SEP on to be easily  recognized in the crowd.

Needless to say, now that we have our docs we're REALLY excited!!! :teeth:
30 DAYS !!!!! :bounce:

For all our new shipmates, here's a link to check out SEP (Special Ebay Purchase) !!!

Here's SEP!!!
Here's SEP again!!!

Just a hint: if you wish to book Palo's for evening/brunch........... go immediately to Palo's on embarking. They get pretty much booked up quickly, as we found to our cost last cruise. It is very nice there, but I missed the fun of the main dining room. Brunch is probably a better option for Palo's, as its dark in the evening when having dinner, and so NO VIEW OF OCEAN!
For birthdays/celebrations, etc., main dining rooms will organize special cake + "singing crew choir" at evening meal. Tell them a day in advance. Happy sailing.

Thanks for the helpful hints Nat. That's so cool that your daughter works on the ship! And how great that you'll be able to see her soon :)

Gary, Studio Sea may be a better option because it probably won't be as crowded as Deck 10 during the sail away party. What time is everyone planning on getting to the port?

Gary.
I see only one prob with that plan, we had to be in our rooms when they called the drill to be sure of our lifeboat station. It is not a cattle call per say, each room has a station to report to and the route to take to get there.
I'm thinking maybe
1)...Palo's will be the place to meet since we have interested parties making ressies. I would love to do a brunch there..I wonder if we could get a group brunch for maybe Sun. morning or
2)... high tea that same day as a group. OR
3)...we could just meet in that area say by 3-3:30. As long as you wear your SEP...you will be the ICON to look for!!!;)
ALL options are welcomed.
WE'RE GOING TO "SEA" MICKEY.........
