2.5 Gal Ziplock or Spacebags???

Ok guys...I am going to start to pack after Christmas for our upcoming trip. I want to know your thoughts about the 2.5 gal ziplock bags vs spacebags (or something comparable). I have already bought the ziplock bags because they were on sale at my local Target not too long ago. Do they work just as well as the Spacebags? We are a family of five and will drive to Orlando. I don't want to take 5 suitcases with us. Any info and/or advice would be great!!!

I read on another post that someone suggested using rubbermaid totes with clothes in ziplocks. Sounds like a great idea if driving. I use the ziplocks for my family of four and prefer them. Then are much less expensive than Spacesavers. If you have young kids you can write which day the outfit is for. I have packed for our trip next week. Family of four (two teens) in two suitcases, one tote of food, one tote of Christmas.

I have used both. The Spacesavers don't seem to hold up very well so I perfer the zip locks.

I always hear people talk about 2 or (2.5 here) gallon ziplocks. I live in Texas and look everywhere for these. I've only seen the gallon size at the grocery store and Target.

DH and I bought some good Ziplock bags for our trip and they became very handy...expecially if you go on water rides, they will definatly help you out...and a good chance that you will not lose anything.

I also live in Texas (Brownsville) I found the 2.5 gal zip bags in Wal mart! Go to the camping dept. Thats where I found them and by accident!! I'm not to sure if those are the same but they are made by zip lock!

I found the 2.5 gallon at Walmart. On the TOP SHELF. I had to throw things at them to knock down a few. (My Walmart has NO idea what Customer Service might be and I knew it would take them about an hour to send someone to help me! I try to avoid going there at ALL costs, but sometimes.....)
