2/15/2013 - 8 Night Western Cruise, Galveston, TX

We got our FE today! Yay! I love it, now I just have to add the velcro and letter patches for our pockets.

Thank you to everyone who has help organize things. I can't wait for our cruise! I was talking to a friend who is doing the 4 day cruise out of Port Canaveral her FE group has 70 people and they didn't split it!! YIKES! I think I would have a heart attack if our group was that big. I would need a separate suitcase just for FE gifts.

Was thinking of a way for everyone to identify each other (Disboarders). On a past cruise we all put something lime green on our carry on bags (ribbon, Mickey head, etc) anyone interested? Just a thought so we can pick each other out from the crowd when we are waiting to board or walking around the ship before our meet and greet.

One group we were in had lime green Mickey head paint samples from Home Depot. Another made custom embossed green bracelets. My paper cutter can make lime green Mickey heads if anyone wants them.

I always have lime green something on me and/or my carry-ons... Usually ribbons. Hope to spot others!! :yay:

Will see what we can do! I think I have some lime green scrapbook paper around here that I could do something with...hmmmmm....:thumbsup2

That's why you gotta check the awesome first page with all the helpful info Katie put there! :thumbsup2

The first and main meet is 2pm on sailaway day, in the Promenade Lounge. Kid friendly, lots of room for all of us. And those who want to will still be able to get to the spa raffle at 3.

Then we'll have another little get-together the next day, probably late morning, just to say hi again and give anyone a chance who didn't get onboard early to meet everyone. I'm just waiting for the new Navigators to see what's going on at that time. That meet will probably be adult-only, and near Signals by the adult pool and Cove Cafe. Will keep everyone posted!

The first page tells where and when, but not which day!

Gah! My fault. Pretty obvious oversight there, huh? :confused3

All fixed now. Plus I added the bit about having something lime green to be recognizable. Look at me being all organized today! :yay:

We don't sail until may 10. But saw reference here to a Galveston parking discount code. Will someone please share:)

Thank you!

I don't think the ship is full so I'm guessing there will be some possible upgrades at check in. If anyone is lucky try to post a note near your old cabin and I'm guessing Beth might keep a master list of changes. This would be for the FE groups!

I thought it was sold out! Would be nice to have the ship less full. pirate:

It may be sold out but I was guessing it wasn't since they offered kids free a couple of months back.

Just went to try and book and only available Galveston cruise is 2/23 so it does look full but things change so someone may get lucky!

Its not sold out. There are cabins available in all 3 major categories - Inside, Oceanveiw and Veranda. We're still GTY, so I check every day to see what is available. I check on Expedia.com because it is easier to go back and forth between the categories there. Oceanview has the least, with 7 cabins available. There are quite a few Inside and Veranda cabins remaining.

Now, there might be certain cabins DCL is currently not selling because of full muster stations. Or they may not be allowing any more kids. That I can't tell. But there are empty cabins.

HTH!

The T-shirts I had made for this cruise arrived last night. They came out great! We'll be wearing them on Embarkation day. You'll be able to spot us in the crowd. We won't need the lime green that day. :rotfl2:

I don't think that this cruise is sold out. (Although it would be nice to snag an upgrade!) ;)

When I look for 2 adults in the inside, outside, and verandah categories, no codes, rooms still come up for me. (I'm waiting on an IGT cabin, and there are tons of inside cabins left: 11B -8, 11A - 8, 10B -1, 10A -1) Outside cabins left: 9D -GTY, 9C -1, 9B -8, 9A -GTY; Verandah cabins left: 5C -1, 5B -8, 5A -1, 00T -3.

I think that it may be sold out for rooms with more than 1 child. HTH.

Wow! Alot of balcony cabins disappeared since yesterday. There were at least a half dozen Cat 7's yesterday, and as many Cat 6's. Maybe DCL started assigning the *GT cabins? We only have 3 weeks to go until the cruise, and usually *GT cabins are revealed about 12-14 days out. As I am one of those *GT cabins, I'd really like to know where we're going to be!!pixiedust:
