1st week of Nov.?

Okay, I am still trying to decide when to go! Have shied away from Dec., since we want to do alot of "wet" stuff, and can't depend on the weather. Thought about early Oct., but heard the crowds are not necessarily that low. So, how about 1st week of Nov.? We would arrive the 1st (Sat) and leave the 9th (Sun). How are the weather and crowds at that time of year? Also, Veteran's day is Tues. the 11th. Is that preceding weekend (Fri and Sat, we're leaving Sun) likely to be very crowded? Thanks for any info!

My DH and I went 11/2-11/6 2000 and found the crowds were heavier than we had ever had to deal with but we usually went in Dec. They were tolerable though-I would imagine that you are going to hit Jersey week and maybe the soap opera weekend. I would check the event board and see when that is-they both could pull attendance up.

We usually go around the first week in November and while the crowds aren't the lightest, they're usually manageable.

The weather is almost always pleasant, but you could have a few cool days. It is, however, usually warm (or even hot) enough for the wet rides.

We are going the same week for the third time! It does get chilly at night but the weather is great and around 83 during the day the last time we went. It was "Jersey " week when we went the last 2 times. The weekends were a little crowded but during the week was fine. We did everything we wanted to do and didn't even have Early Entry or E-night available in 2000!

They haven't posted the SoapOpera Weekend yet according to CRO. But all you have to do is stay away from MGM that weekend and you will do ok. That is my plan. Just a reminder that NOv1 is a higher rate than the 2nd is so you may want to have a seperate reservation for the 1st. That is what we had to do in 2000. They would not give two different rates for the same reservation and was going to charge the higher rate for my entire stay because of one night.
