***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

Can't wait!!! Glad my kid is old enough for the second parade. On dessert party night, anyone know how early we need to be in our reserved space?

my oh my I've been gone from this thread for far too long. Hoping everyone's plans are going well we have less than one month to go before we are all on our magical vacation and I'm truly the most excited I can possibly be.
I have an spread sheet with times and plans for which order to hit rides and all that. I know it sounds insane maybe to plan down to the time and order you get on rides but I just needed to do that because nothing irritates me more than standing around asking "what do you want to do next" and "idk what do you want to do next" for me this plan overloads us with options the schedule I know is impossible and things will be passed on just based on how important they are to us. Also keep in mind that this trip is for two 23 and 24 year olds who are comfortable with going from rope drop to curtain call. We are planning on marathoning through 4 days.
I do have a question. I want to know if you guys have any must watch or rewatch disney movies. My gf hasn't watched some key movies that we will definitely be watching but I'm trying to think of a good list to start today and carry through until we depart.

I'd suggest the 2 Prep and Landing specials if you're going to be watching the new Jingle Bell Jingle BAM show at HS, they're super cute!

Otherwise, hmmm. I've already seen a few lately, that I've caught on tv: Big Hero 6, Inside Out, and Monsters Inc. Definitely going to be watching Nightmare Before Christmas (which for me personally, I always watch as a Christmas movie, not a Halloween movie). I've been in the mood lately for Finding Nemo and Zootopia again, so will probably watch those. Finding Dory too, but I might not get my pre-ordered movie in time. Maybe Tangled and/or Frozen. Hopefully I'll get to the theater to see Moana. So many choices! Lol

OMG, we are ridiculous!! I'm glad it's not just me though.

Ehh, still coughing quite a bit. I would just be happy to get some decent sleep. For the past 3 nights I've taken NyQuil and laid in bed for hours coughing. Today my ribs and abs actually hurt from it.
I feel like it is getting a little better. I ate some solid food today in the form of chicken soup. I'm actually starving now, so I'll take that as a good sign.

Unfortunately DH came to meet up with me and I didn't buy anything... not sure if I should be happy not to spend

That's a good sign! Hope it gets better from here! In time to do more shopping on the weekend!

Movies... Inside out, big hero six, frozen... any movies that have rides? Peter Pan, toy story, princess movies, finding nemo n finding dory...

I just finished four days in a row of being so busy at work that I had to work through my lunch hour. It is one of my normal annual crunch times and the reason I can't go t Disney during the nice weather periods of October and November. But December looks to be fabulous.

Just reading everything now and will our week be as bad as this week? Given it is pop warner... hmm maybe I should book the dessert party too... but I was thinking of not watching wishes from the front of the park... the only thing is I really want to see the once upon a time projection show, which is at 10:45... not sure if ppl will start exiting after wishes or will they wait in their spots

I really want to see the Once Upon a Time show, and Saturday and Monday will be our only opportunities to see it. And I know that MK will be packed with people those nights. It was packed at nights on non party nights in 2013 for this week.

Question about Wolfgang Puck Express at Disney Springs. We plan on eating their on Friday 12/9 after our MK day. We are taking the boat over from POR that drops you by the Rainforest Cafe. I see there are two over there-- an express at the main Wolfgang Puck and one at the Marketplace. I'm thinking we want the one by the Marketplace because it will (1) be closer to where we get dropped off, and (2) is more like a sit down. From what I can tell from the menus on Disney, the other one is more grab and go. Is that correct from what you guys have experienced or can tell from the websites? I haven't been to Disney Springs in over 6 years when it was still Downtown Disney and we didn't eat there.

@Lisa F or anyone else who has two MDE's (or maybe you don't, Lisa?), I was about to create a second MDE to give myself the option of adding MB's for SDFP if I want (I do have one MB I could link right now and might purchase more later). Since we already have 6 of us, I'd rather relegate the phantoms to their own MDE. Anyway, I went to set it up and couldn't decide whether to use my real name on the account or not. I know I need a different email, but is there any chance they'll try to merge the MDE accounts if they see one person on two accounts? I had myself convinced to make it a fake name, but then I worried I'd regret it in the future (like what if my fake MDE account receives a PIN code?). Thoughts?

Disney has been combining MDE accounts if the profiles are similar.

Oh my Disney, I know I really never post here, but I really need help. Just today my cousin and her family decided to join us on vacation. So I need all new ADRs. I know you all are super helpful with this. We will be a total of 15 people. The biggest days are November 27 and 28. The 27th I have a reservation for 6 at Tusker house @10:20. Looking for a breakfast or lunch in AK. We will be doing MVMCP that night. The 28th I have 10 people at the plaza @ 11:05am. I sm excited but now everything is up in the air.

Only thing I haven't been able to book is the Jingle Bell, Jingle Bam party on 12/3. Anyone think it's worth stalking for openings or is it a lost cause?

Omg I need to vent! My husband is a part time travel agent (selling cruises) aND so when we found our we could get nice discounts at disney we jumped at the chance. We needed to jump through a bunch of hoops to get dh the specific travel agent ID disney accepts. After a painful, long and complex process, we got it. Now 3 weeks before our trip, disney is saying the card isn't valid. This is a nightmare. They also screwed up our flights. The customer service for agents at disney is horrible and I am in tears trying to fix this. I have to leave for work in 30 mins and I'm trying to wrangle dd into bed. The price of my vacation will more than double if we don't get the ta dis count

I have a ADR for Hollywood and Vines at 8:40 am but it says the park doesn't open until 9. How am I supposed to get to breakfast if that park isn't open yet? Is this the PPO thing I've heard mentioned here? How do I get that to get to my ADR?

@Mintycake - that is so stressful I'm sorry that is happening. I hope it all works out for you so you guys can enjoy your trip as planned.

My understanding is they MUST be linked to a profile in order to use them. Maybe you could set up phantoms before you go, then buy the MB's and link them to the phantoms. Just decline if they offer to link the MagicBands for you! lol

@Mintycake i just did this today. I ordered new mb, set up a new MDE account under a new name, added other fake names for my family and friends. I linked the bands today when they arrived into that new MDE account. I think ( hope) it should be all set for the parks!

A bunch of us are going to JBJB on 12/3. I haven't checked our list but it might be 35 people. you could keep stalking. people will be changing plans up until the day of.

Yes, if you have an ADR before a park opens, it's called a PPO. A lot of people like them because they eat and can get in line to the busy rides as the park is opening to everyone else.

Sooooo...not being a morning person,I've never done this, but from what I've read, that is PPO....pre-park opening. A CM will let you in through the gate early if you have a reservation. I assume magic bands are enough, or phone with MDE...but I'm so paranoid, I'd bring along a printout with reservation#...but I'm old school.

So sorry...what a mess! I'm sure it will all work out...like Lisa said back when Talby and ???? were having trouble getting TA to make final payment...Disney WANTS you to visit....especially a TA who needs experiences to inform clients. Breathe!!! AND good luck

Oh I think it'll be so much fun to have the golf cart! Who doesn't love driving one of them around? Lol. And decorating it will be awesome! I'll be at the FW Campground on my arrival day, 12/6, since I'm planning on going for a run to see all the decorated campsites!

ugh stopped getting notifications of this thread. I thought it was really cute, kiddo has watched it 3 times already (when he likes something he watches it over and over). I think we will have fun at jingle bell jingle bam. He wants to be on the prep and landing team. How can the VIP be ANYTHING but santa?!
