***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

VENT!!!
My sister now says she doesn't want to do 3 Christmas Parties!! I clarified that the JingleBellJingleBAM was just an hour and fireworks so she's okay with that. Doesn't want to do 2 MVMCP's even thought they have been on the draft schedule I sent her months ago.... now, I have to decide 12/4 or 12/6. I think 12/6 since it will be less crowded (tuesday) and we are going to EMM on 12/4 so that is the day we will be more tired. Was planning to start with Sanaa lunch around 11:30 on 12/6 and then MK.

BUT, had dessert party reserved for 12/4.....

Ugh, I'm sorry @Maryemcd !! My DH is famous for developing an opinion after I've asked him 10 times and gotten the okay, so I feel your frustration!!
Could you and your nephew go to the 12/4 party without her and just change the number of guests for the dessert party? Then she can go see her friends and your plans aren't disrupted

I don't mean to be rude or disrespectful, but why you can't you do one of the MVMCP without your sister? Disney with extended family can be stressful and you might enjoy the time apart. She can do whatever she wants to do that evening and you can enjoy a second party. Win-win!

Agree with others... Maybe you and your nephew could go by yourselves for one night I hope you have not bought tickets yet?

LOL, I have the same issue. All of a sudden the opinion disrupts everything. LOL!

Ok, I have some ADR questions for you all. I was looking at the ADR spreadsheet as I was doing my search and I was wondering if it was up to date? Just want to make sure I spend my time searching for things you all really still need:

@JamieOak, do you still need an 'Ohana on the dates you have on there? It sounded from your last post that you were set with 'Ohana.
@Lisa F did you give up on wanting that BOG lunch on 12/2 now that you are planning on LTT and doing a BOG on your last day?
@Mintycake are you still looking for 1900 PF on 12/8?
@CaleCakes and @candycane the things you're looking for on 12/8 are not things I can grab for you because at the moment I'm holding ADRs at those times. Just wanted you to know that I haven't forgotten about you!

Hey everyone. I am stressing a little. I am in desperate need of a Crystal Palace Dinner reservation for 12/11 for 6 and a Akershus Dinner around 7 PM for 12/12 for 2. I have mouse dining and touring plans. Do you think these will open up as it gets closer? I was pretty positive a month ago, but now that it is still coming up blank I am starting to stress it.

I have a friend whose son is performing in the Disney Christmas Parade. She says they are filming it on Sunday Dec 4th. I'm relieved it won't be while we are there!

Maybe you should wait and make a decision until the first party reviews come out? Then you can make a more informed decision

@pigletgirl I would add to that to wait until the last possible minute to cancel. Even if the first reviews are not great, Disney is not above making changes based on guest feedback and if it is anything like SWaGS parties, they will be soliciting guest feedback like crazy. The only issue might be overcrowding in the viewing area but that is something Disney has the power to address and quite easily even if it is a political thing between the dessert party division and HS. it just may take a few parties to iron it out... they have a couple of weeks to figure it out before we are there. So I would say "cool your jets" until you know what the real deal is a couple of days before.

my guess is they raised capacity from 200 to 250 and she is worried about crowding (hence the reason more tickets opened up). that said I think it can be managed and managed well, I would rather eat dessert and only wait 15 minutes to see the fireworks than stand around waiting an hour and 15 minutes. They will get complaints if it is MORE crowded in the reserved viewing area than non reserved but if it is about as crowded, i can't blame them really for maximizing viewing for all the guests.

I know! Today I bought dd an anna costume. She really wants to wear it to Epcot . I'm just hoping it fits (I can return it). It'd hard having a 6 year old who loves dress up but is the size of a 12 year old! She bought a shirt last week size women's xs. But it's a stitch shirt so super cute on her. I also nabbed another photo album for our photos and autographs, two sharpies, and a Frozen memory box for dd. As for me I picked up a pair of sketchers running shoes that are ultra lite with the memory foam in them. I figured my old runners are 7 years old at this point (I bought them originally for hiking in equator pre kid) so time to buy new. 30 days to break them in!

Was reading about Tony's town square last night...is it really that bad?? Italian is always a safe bet for DD, and I read they have gf pasta...which is why I made the ADR, but now I'm secon guessing myself. In the past, most of our dinners were QS, so I figured anything would be a step up. Should I just drop the ADR and try to get a table at the plaza???
