***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

I've already purchased my MVMCP tickets AND called and had the date changed. They were happy to oblige and it seemed like they do it pretty often. I don't know if there's a point where you are so close to the date of the party that they won't be as obliging, but I think as long as there is availability on the date you want they will switch it for you.

Now I'm going to MVMCP on 12/1. Glad to see others are going that day too!

What's sorta funny...I called TWICE before making our date switch to see if it was even an option. Both times I was told no biggie, happens all the time, we'd be happy to help you with that. When I called to actually make the switch, I was put on hold "let me check to see if we can help you". Then after a short hold, the CM came back to say "we'd be happy to make this exception this one time". lol That's fine, I just wanted the date switched. All's well that ends well.

Ok, real newbie question here. With the party ticket do you get 3 fp for that 4-7 time? Or are you guys referring to people with a MK park ticket that same day?

If it's for the party, how do you do fp? Wait until the party to scan your mb? Or do you book on your fp day?

I think that was @pigletgirl who switched her party date?? HOWEVER....We just switched as well; from 12/9 to 12/8.

Wooohoooo for 12/8! We need to meet up and have a mini dessert party for ourselves before the parade/ fireworks

I got my tickets last month (even before I got my airline tickets, was too excited!) lol! @JamieOak was the one who moved her party date.

It was @Lisa F or @Iowamomof4 or @BDFmom i think who mentioned that. I did see reports that if the end time of the FP was 6:35, it got cancelled so be careful. I don't plan on making any FPs that day so I haven't been looking.

We have our tickets for 12/1!! We purchased them in July.

We really need something to tag everyone one in the park, like other have suggested. Other wise one of us might elbow the other getting that perfect parade/fireworks spot.....

I like the idea of the lime green bandana/ribbon tied to backpacks or strollers.
Seems we have great times for potential meet.... 11/29 EMM, 12/1 MVMCP, 12/3 Starwars dessert, 12/8 MVMCP.... along with various overlapping parks days

We can all share a Dole whip!

Yes.... the party FP have to be scheduled before 6:30.. people going to the Holloween party have any after 6:30 cancelled.

So 3:30-4:30, 4:30-5:30,5:30-6:30 are the three you can get... or aleast that's what I read on Disboards

No, I plan to play it by ear and see what time my two year old will wake up from his nap if ever. ( and I will make him nap!) I plan to get in a little later if ever, maybe around 5 just to make it to tree lighting ceremony (5:15-5:30 I think) and go to BOG for dinner

@rasadkowski i was so excited in suggesting 12/7 night for you and your DH to spend at WS that I forgot to mention that we are doing an Akershus PPO that day too! We should say hi if we see each other! Darn, really wish we could have some sort of marker like @Talby mentioned so we could identify each other also I have a Tusker house for 4 on 12/6 I'm going to drop. It's for 10:50 though. I know you're looking for 6 and earlier but let me know if you want this.

First I was thinking red or maybe lime green but, given the Christmas season, maybe something like orange or bright yellow would be better? What does everyone think?

I know everyone's priorities are different, and that family time is incredibly precious. Maybe one day someone will want to wear the identifying color but the next day they don't and prefer to feel/be completely anonymous. I think it might be important to establish that this would be respected. Totally ZERO pressure sort of thing. You can participate one day but not the next, or all days if you'd like. Whatever your preference is will be perfect!

I've been thinking about making a thread but haven't been sure exactly what it is I want to know so I haven't done it yet! lol Anyway, it's just something to watch. It seems it has only been a problem for certain MVMCP tickets and hasn't been an issue with the Halloween tickets.

Someone mentioned Jingle Cruise might be busy, but I don't think anywhere near as popular as 7DMT.

@BDFmom a long time ago, DIS'ers used to get those lime green Mickey head paint samples from Home Depot, write their username on it, (some laminated it) and attach it to their bag, shirt, or stroller. I don't know if people still so that, but we should do something special for our little thread here

it is complicated getting it linked right. I would not be surprised if people are having problems. You REALLY have to know what you are doing to be able to do this. if it's working for some but not others I'd more put my money on user error than disney actually putting effort into closing the loophole.

That's a great picture!! My sister took my nephew a couple of years ago, and because he loves Darth Vader so much, he chose the dark side. LOL

he was so intense. I think my pics are better because the PP was trying to capture everyone equally. I was purely focused on my kiddo. I think the battle pics were fine but I just used mine because I liked it a slight bit more. My before pics were much better though.

I remember you posting that you called twice and verified you can do it, that's what made me realize I could even change my date. So thanks big time! That's so funny that when you actually wanted to change it they made it seem like an exception. The CM who handled mine was happy to do it, but there was some difficulties because I had used gift cards to buy the tickets and handling the refund. I said "If it'll make it work, keep that $2.12 refund and just switch the dates" but he wanted to try to get it right for me. He made a point to say "Don't link them to your MDE until you have received them in the mail because that could cancel the shipping" and then said "well you have plenty of time, that would only be a worry if the party was 3 days from now or less." That made me feel like people do this right up to their trip. I'm glad they did it for you and you have the new date!
