***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

See, I told you not to listen to me! lol Thanks @Wood Nymph for confirming. Now it's going to bug me because I remember reading that they stopped doing FP for one of the shows...I just can't remember which one or which park!!
If I didn't listen to you and everyone here, I would be in a lot of trouble with my shoddy plans!!!
And I think @Candycane83 mentioned that the MK afternoon parade fp is now reserved viewing for Tony's ? In place of the msep? I was just going to ask if the parade fp was worth getting and then someone ( I think it was her) posted it

Yup it was me. No more FP for festival of fantasy parade in the afternoon. But it shouldn't be too hard to get a spot at Frontierland :)

Awesome! We will be there too, ours is at 5:30pm.

Wow, I have not been on here in about a week and I don't think I can catch up! You all have some great planning going on, I am jealous... I am going with a big group who says they do not care, but one I tell them what I am planning they care.

I swear @1437disney I think of you all the time. Have you been able to find the CRT? I definitely still have it and I'm still in the same position :( but more so towards being able to transfer it.

Morning, all! I have a question for everyone! I was wondering, what is everyone's favorite must do at each park aside from things you can fp Or reserve!
Including shows/ snacks etc! Any ONE thing that you just have to do!
Sorry if this has been discussed :)

Mine would likely be:
MK: the tiki room! I think the girls will love that and want to go back!

EPCOT: I'd say it's visiting inside Mexico !! I'd say it was the Mexico ride but I haven't been there since they changed it!!

AK: never been there, but I'm going to guess the bird show, or some sort of snack there :) the food sounds great here!!

HS: never been :)
catching up... does anyone even care about this topic anymore? lol

MK: carousel of progress, peoplemover, the tiki room. I can't pick just one. 3 classic walt attractions that give me the warm fuzzies and at the risk of sounding like a kook, make me feel like walt is nearby. i never go to the MK and miss any of these.
Epcot: Voices of Liberty. they are INCREDIBLE. They sing 15 minutes before certain american adventure presentations (but not for EVERY show, check times guide). If you don't know who they are, they are an a cappella group in 19th century historic costume that sing some historic american classics. The acoustics in the lobby of the american adventure are fantastic and this is one thing that I do not miss at Epcot. I even have the cd somewhere. they also perform at the candlelight processional. if you are going to bother going to AA, do not miss voices of liberty. They even let you sit in the front row while you wait for and listen to the show so you can rest your tired tootsies.
AK: flights of wonder show - I have talked about this before as it is definitely part of my plan. to me it is a hidden gem at AK. It has a cute little backstory that actually works (imo) and they bring out all kinds of birds to talk about them and show them off and some of them are even allowed to fly around the pavilion above the audience. this is definitely a highlight of AK for me.
HS: everyone knows about this but I have to say Jedi Training Academy. No FP+ and no extra charge, this is such a fantastic experience for your little star wars fans. Kiddo has done it twice and is insisting on doing it again. You do reserve it day of but I'm not sure that's what you meant? :) I figured you meant reserve way in advance.

Up to page 291. still so far to go. off to see if anyone agreed with my picks :)

Oh wow didn't know you had to wait and sit to hear the voices of Liberty sing... I thought you could just pop in and listen... Speaking of hearing or seeing... How are the storytellers set up? Are the outside and you can just stand to watch them?

you can, there is plenty of room to just pop in and stand at the back. I like to sit in the front and I like to see the entire show :) the costumes are incredible too but you can pop in and listen during any show.

Hi all! Coming out of lurkdom on this thread to say hello :)

Myself, DH, DS7, and DS2 will be at ASSp from 11/25-12/3 (hopefully the early pop warner arrivals will be tame!). We took the kids for the first time last October and had such a blast we decided to surprise them with another trip this year. We jumped on the FD promotion and can't wait to try some new restaurants along with favorites from last year.

Here's our itinerary:
11/25: 2:25pm arrival at MCO - settle in, and possibly head to AoA so DS2 can see the Cars stuff since he's obsessed with everything Cars. Pizza delivery (Giordanos, since we can't get it here and it's DH's favorite) and hang at the resort.
11/26: Putt putt at Winter Summerland with package vouchers, then to DS to shop and hit Trex for 4pm dinner. Early to bed this night.
11/27 - 8am EMH at DSH - priorities will be Jedi training, use the FP, have 3:10 H&V dinner and then probably call it an early night.
11/28 - Epcot morning to hit the rides. 2:45 meal at Garden Grill. Hop to HS for SW Fireworks (assuming they dont change the current schedule)
11/29 - MK. 8:20 PPO at BOG. 6:50 dinner at WCC.
11/30 - RD HS to hit DS7's faves again. Afternoon in Epcot, Teppan Edo lunch or dinner (have both, need to decide!), then hop to MK for nighttime and EMH. Hopefully my kids can hang for this LONG day. I *need* to see castle lighting and Wishes.
12/1 - AK day. 6:15 dinner at Boma.
12/2: last MK day. BOG lunch at 12:35, 'Ohana dinner at 6:30. No parties for us.
12/3: home :( plane leaves 9:45 am.

Other info: We booked this trip on a new MDE so we can use last year's MB for SDFP. pretty excited about this and hoping it works out great. my youngest will turn 3 on New Years Day, so this trip will be a "last time we can get him in free at WDW" slash birthday trip for him. I grew up going to WDW every 1-2 years and staying with my grandparents in Zephyrhills. We did Disney on the cheap and picnicked in our car. I'm loving being able to take my kids and experience WDW and relive my memories and make new ones. DH only went once when he was 4 so the nostalgia factor isn't there for him - works for me, since I do all the planning!

I know it is very late but :welcome:

better late than never!

Yaaaaaaay!! So happy for you!!

Do you all think it would be too cold for Splash Mountain and Kali River Rapids when we all go in December? I'm thinking Splash Mountain might be doable for us, but that Kali River Rapids would be too wet. Trying to decide if either of these is worth a fastpass, or just wing it or SDFP if the weather is warm? The last time I was in Orlando was in early/mid November (around Veterans Day). It was warm during the day (shorts warm) but cool at night (sweatshirt). If we did a "wet" ride even though it was warm, we were really cold. It was just me and DH that time so I'm a little worried our kiddos will be cold.
I will do splash, they turn off that waterfall that REALLY soaks you (if I remember correctly? don't quote me on that lol) when it is cooler out but I have concerns about Kali. I will read on now. still saving splash for daytime at MK though.

I am SO excited for my oldest to do Jedi training this year. He was so psyched about it last fall then 2 months before our trip they pulled it for refurb. He loves Star Wars however doesn't watch Rebels so I have to figure out a way to guarantee he gets to fight Vader or he will be devastated. I'm closely watching all JT reports in hopes they keep the lines separate and I'll know which one to put him in...

I thought there were tips on the star wars thread about which side to put them on. Mine wants to fight vadar too, I need to figure that out too. I read about it but it did not stick.

I do!! :wave2: Thanks!!i love tiki room too :)

Someone mentioned on another thread that they see it but I didn't see it myself so I'm trying not be too hopeful. It's hard not to be hopeful but with how Disney is going these days, just not too sure...
Rivers of Light is a show that Disney has been working on for a long time. We were in WDW in June and there was a lot of talk about the show being opened by the time we were there. Then they had lots of problems with the show and pulled it out of the line up. They replaced it with a hastily produced Jungle Book show. So we were one of those families who has been looking forward to this show since February. I would love for it to be ready for our October 1st arrival, but I'm not counting on it. But I really think that it will be up and running by December. It is supposed to be finished now.

Epcot - front end - there are a lot of things to do for the younger kids in Epcot. The Living Seas has Turtle Talk with Crush, which is really cute. They also have the Finding Nemo ride, also cute. And kids like to look at the fish.

Mission Space - if you go in the door of the shop and walk toward the exit of the ride, you will find a play area. They have video games and a big area were a group of people can play the video game as a team. They also have a play area for little ones to climb all over it, kind of like the play area in the waiting tent for the Dumbo ride at MK. Journey to Imagination is a cute ride and there is an interactive play area at the end of the ride which is fun. The dump area for Test Test has the showroom with cars that kids like to climb in and out of. Outside of Test Track is one of those cooling spray areas, although it might be off if the weather is cold. The Innovations buldings used to have a lot of great areas for young kids, but they have been pulling some of it out, so i'm not sure what is left. The Pixar movies, located where Captain EO used to be, is cute. They show three short cartoons which everyone will like.

There was something on the Star Wars thread that mentioned this in particular. It's a long thread but it's somewhere there with pictures too. I think someone named bluelion was the one mentioned it.
