***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

@Candycane83 yes I saw the October schedule. I'm really surprised that Disney is only giving out dates a month in advance. This could seriously screw up our ADR's if the December SW shows aren't on nights we hope they are. :sad1:

No, I haven't opened it yet. I have several of the big buildings, the carousel, and a couple of the larger SW ones put together (but not the Death Star). Love putting them together over the winter holidays.

That's awesome! Sounds like the holidays at our house. Our 11 year old son just out together the Parisian Cafe. He bought it with birthday money. He has a few buildings in that creator line. He loves SW too. Has lots of those large sets. Enjoy the castle! It's on our list.

It's great, and thanks for setting it up! I wish there was a way to pin it at the top or something. I just try to remember what page I last saw it on to go back and check it!

I just added the link to my signature. If anybody else wants to add the link to your signature, you're welcome to do so. The actual link is very long, so here's a short bitly link: http://bit.ly/2bWXi9b

It amazes me how little people know about Disney World as well. I remember on one of our trips, we were in line waiting and I started chatting with a family next to me. They thought you had to pay to use the monorail! :sad2: I don't understand how people can book a vacation somewhere and just not do any research...but then there are people like us who are uberplanners!!
This gives me hope. I would say us uber planners are in the minority. Thus, we will get more stuff done, more efficiently! My friend who went didn't even do ADRs and basically did same day FP in all the park. She and her family still had a blast. But I'm anal and a planner so here I am LOL

I'm helping one of my friends plan and I love it!
Sometimes I think us uber planners have it harder than the people who don't really know that much. We all know all the fun things and don't want to miss any of it. While others are blissfully unaware. Haha!

I think this a lot when I see some of the posts here on the DIS! First world Disney problems! LOL

You guys...dh and I were talking over plans and we are leaning strongly towards not doing the Christmas party. It's almost $400 canadian for our family aND after watching a video of the parade and shows we are pretty sure my daughter would not be into it. This also means I may have to switch my flow back to early evening/early morning touring style.

I know it's contrary to what most peeps on the boards are saying but knowing our kid I really can't justify it.

Thinking about the alice in Wonderland tea at gf maybe tho.

Every family is different. You have to do what you think is going to work for you personally.

We were all gung-ho commando style when we went with the kids, especially from middle school years on. I'm leaning towards wanting a more relaxed touring style this go around, even though it's been six years since the last Disney trip. I'm still thinking get there at rope drop, ride as much as we can when the parks are least crowded, then maybe go back to the hotel in the afternoon. Then come back and stay late.

The parks close fairly early, so most nights we'd leave at 9:30 when Epcot closes, if not earlier. We might go to EMH at MK on Wed, 11/30, when it closes at midnight. We might stay out til midnight for MVMCP on 12/1 or 12/4. So most nights we wouldn't even be out very late, making rope drop much easier.

I know I want time to stroll around the parks and just look at stuff, and not be frantically rushing from ride to ride the whole time.

At least, that's the picture in my head now. I'm afraid that once there I'll revert to the old commando ways, though.

I have saturday as my primary and monday as a backup (I think) but it may be hard to rearrange FP+ with so little notice :(
Agree but unfortunately that's how it's going for everyone nowadays... I'm not even sure what I would do if Saturday does not work... I guess I now have to think about it...

Just curious!!updated the Google list and noticed ###### on some times. What does that mean? Thanks :) happy Saturday!

If they don't do Saturday I'm either going to rearrange my schedule (may be impossible due to adrs) or buy hoppers.

@Mintycake I come on these boards and see what others are doing and think, Oh--that's a great idea--we should do that!! Before I knew it, our schedule was so packed with great ideas, I'm not sure where the rides were going to go! haha (let alone time to simply soak it all in and just BE). It's completely self-imposed; I'm very indecisive and everything looks so fun to me! And everyone here really truly does have such wonderful ideas! Kudos to you for being decisive and knowing what's going to work best for the Mintycake family! :-)
