***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

I am feeling better about my Akershus lunch. Common theory on the board for A&E M&G is to RD them. Glad we won't have to rush through our princess lunch then, plus I am kinda excited about the lunch menu. The salmon looks yummy! The meatball dish reminds me of IKEA though lol.

I think the next thing we need to worry about is how to strategize the day in the park around ADRs. i.e. how many rides/shows can you fit in between your meals? :)

Also, no one is talking about Pop Warner. I am not planning to spend a lot of nights in the parks (one night each for MK, HS, EP out of 6 nights) so how bad is it going to be you think?
Not sure but if it's crowded, I'm sure we would just leave. I thought pop warner does not affect the crowds too much? Was I wrong?

night time at HS is not on the schedule yet really but everything I could find had pop warner there on wednesday night with a private party.

for nights I kind of like for it to be relaxing a bit - mostly just focused on the nighttime shows. I will park WELL in advance for a good spot but then the problem is entertaining my kiddo. I think it went fine last time because he was tired and mellow by then.

what is A&E and M&G?

yes next will be FPs and basic touring plans. I'm not there yet except to RD soarin' and the land the morning of my GG reservation. Soarin' is the kid's favorite ride so we have to figure out how to do that more than once.

Yup I'm just after the evening shows too and probably leave with the masses.
Anna and Elsa meet and greet. :)
I'm doing a couple of early days only but I still need to rethink. I need to factor in nap times on some days!

oh duh. grateful I do not need to worry about that but kiddo loves pixar and baymax and joy and sadness might have to be on the list.

most people have reported that they never even knew they were there. They are busy all day with their events and then I think more or less absorbed into regular crowds in the evenings. I don't think they really travel in HUGE packs like some of the tour groups, though there are smaller packs of teens traveling together.

well the person released it but it is not showing up for me. that is the second ohana i haven't been able to pick up. It looks like no BoG for me!
Im not sure how long you tried but sometimes it takes quite a while to show up. Keep trying if this happens again! You probably did anyway yhough.

I've been trying for a while but am still trying, lol. as long as i am at my computer for work it's easy. I am about to go grab some lunch though!

OMG just checked my flights out of curiosity. $461 when I booked, $707 now. :faint: glad i booked early!

Hmm so strange Narcoosee's has no availability whatsoever on Dec 4! And coral reef practically has nothing for dinner too!! :sad2:

Coral Reef I'm sure they are holding back for CP

12/4 is still in the free dining blast zone with a 12/28 checkin the last date.

No it seems to affect the resorts moreso than the parks. Originally we had a Royal Room reserved at POR but when I heard POP sometimes overflows the Value resorts into moderate, we changed to Beach Club.

True, any other day except the 4th seems to have availability. The funny thing is I'm looking for an early time when ppl should still be in MK and not anywhere close to fireworks!
Coral reef, yes but this does not seem true for other participating restaurants?! Is coral reef very popular?

Sunday is a red day for HS but I decided to just go with it because this is my plan:

1) we will do early EMH and get signed up for Jedi Training Academy. This gives us a big leg up over non resort guests and I will pick my time to fit around everything else - hoping to just get a 9ish show but we'll see.
2) we will do great movie ride during what's left of EMH - I think this is probably the least popular of the tier 1 rides
3) we will FP+ tier 1: Toy Story, Tier 2: Tower of Terror (If I can convince my little guy to do it again, I love that ride), Star Tours
4) we will have an 11:15 early lunch at Sci Fi Dine in, before backups start to happen since they open at 11
5) we will do shows in this order of importance: indiana jones stunt spectacular, muppets 3d, batb, little mermaid... honestly the first two are the only ones my kiddo WANTS to do, the rest would be to fill time if we need it. It is a red day but it is not like... christmas day where you can't get into shows, especially older shows.

I think between Jedi Training Academy, which will be scheduled... EMH, which will get us on great movie ride, 3 fastpasses, a lunch adr and 2 shows that we are really not trying to do anything that crowds will impact. at all. Just have to get our butts over there for EMH so we can start off right.

then around 3pm or a bit after, we are OUT of there. back to BWV to freshen up and get the car. Dinner at CA Grill. Back to BWV and maybe walk over for illuminations.

we are back at HS for nighttime stuff on tuesday, which is otherwise a disney springs/down day. if I do not need to fastpass F! we can maybe do toy story again or maybe fit in one of the other shows if we go a bit early. we'll see.

but I think it is enough HS and I don't think that crowds will impact anything I want to do really.

anyone think I am nuts?

um not super popular? I would not expect it to sell out first. but maybe ti is very popular with CP for some reason? I don't know but they are def holding back for CP or that whole thing would be a bust and they would not get to charge people extra!

Sounds very doable. I think even if it's red, the crowd levels are supposed to be low so I'm thinking it should still be ok. That's still a bit to do but not too much that you can't be out of there by 3pm. :) I'm looking at the list of attractions at DHS and the only thing I see is doing is Toy Story and Disney Junior?! Meet and greets maybe? Great movie ride maybe? Anything else there? Then it's just the night time stuff... I have one morning set aside for it and 2 nights for F! and fireworks (maybe)...

Jedi training, toy story, star tours. those are the 3 biggies. lunch at sci fi

then after that Indiana Jones, Tot, Muppets. in that order. hoping to squeeze in GMR early but it is not high on the "must do" list, just makes sense to do it early.

if there is more time we'll do a batb or little mermaid show.

kiddo saw the star wars meet and greets with his dad, doesn't seem that interested in doing it again.

Yeah there's just not that much. Have you ever been to see the Epcot santas? Is it interesting? I was hoping DS2 would be interested to see the countries, lol! (Really I'm the one super into WS but I'm hoping something would spark his interest) MK seems to be the park we need to spend majority of our time but I want variety. So hard to plan!!!

years and years ago. I think they tell stories. We will take some time to walk around the WS in the evenings when that's all we have planned plus staking out a spot for Illuminations.

Yes I think it's really do able as well. We've got a similar day planned - smart saving your FP for Toy Story and hitting GMR first.
We're doing PPO H&V and while DH gets seated DD and I will sign up for Jedi Training. Hope to get that done maybe for a 10:30am show. After breakfast we're headed straight to star wars land for M&G, Star Tours, and Launch bay. Then Jedi training, maybe take a show break, and then maybe ToT/RnR? We have lunch at 12:45pm at 50s prime time. Hmm maybe I should try to snag dinner at Sci fi?
