***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

FP+ are done!!! I got everything we wanted! I decent times! party:

I feel like a huge burden was lifted from my shoulders.

My earliest memory of Disney was when I was seven years old. We were visiting my grandpa in Miami and my parents decided to surprise me with a trip to Disney. I think they were ready to kill me in the car ride from Miami to Orlando. We finally arrive we checked into the Contemporary. I was in total awe of the monorail. I remember being seeing the fireworks from our balcony and then having to go to bed. The next morning we were off to MK. I fell in love with Cinderella's Castle and we got to eat there. At the time there were no princesses, in fact it was Sir Stephan's Royal banquet hall at the times. They had paper tickets at the time. I still have those stubs somewhere.
what did you want vs. what did you get vs. what are your dates for FEA and 7DMT?

YAY congrats!

I got an 11am FEA on 12/4, 7DMT on (11/27, 12/5, 12/6), Safari 9am on 12/3.... really everything at the times I wanted. I did the FEA first then 7DMT in earliest date order. The whole process went smooth.

Congrats! Happy to hear that everything worked out. I'll be doing ours in 13 days. Luckily our 60th day falls on Columbus Day. So it won't be a problem to stay up until midnight to get what we want.

Congrats

I had a major glitch/problem doing fastpasses this morning. All four kids showed up just fine and I was able to get theirs done (for FEA and 7dmt, haven't worked on the rest yet) but dh and I weren't showing valid tickets. My TA and her coworker are working on it, but I'm left twiddling my thumbs for awhile until it gets fixed.

I believe the window to make FP reservations opens at 7am EST on your day, not midnight.

My favorite disney memories are:

- HISTK playground. We spent so much time in that thing, and I have so many pics of us all on the giant ant.
- Riding POTC over and over again with my grandparents because I was too short for the coasters.
- Riding the monorail around and checking out the fancy resorts. We always stayed with my grandparents in Tampa and drove in. We had lunch from a cooler in the car, and only once in a blue moon ate at Crystal Palace.
- Loooooooong car rides down to FL from MI with the family of 7. My dad making super corny disney jokes along the way. "Hey guys don't let me get too Jafar down the road before stopping for gas" was a good one lol.

And pics because I love looking at old pics (sorry not sorry)

Did that change? Last year I was able to make my FP reservations at midnight. I know that the 180 day for dining had changed the time, but wasn't aware that the FP time had changed.

I have another week to wait but now wondering if I shouldn't have preemptively rearranged my whole schedule for AK day lol. It's alright, I like my new plan!

So adorable! I remember those goofy hats, I had one too! I don't think they still make them anymore, at least not with the mesh back and the felt teeth.

Yes it changed a few months back :)

I need to take my FP selections and start plugging stuff into my TP now. I'm not going to super stress about the plans, but I like having something to at least start with each day!

I'm hoping to hit some stuff we missed last time (like a lot haha - most shows at AK, CoP, HoP, tiki room, TSI, muppets, and half of the WS. It's a daunting task and we have 6 park days!

eesh good luck. fingers crossed. i'm sure it will be fine, seems availability is plentiful!

Thanks for answering. This being my first year planning, I wasn't sure what it was before but I do recall hearing that it was a change at some point.

well the charge won't work (kind of like being above your credit card limit, you will get declined lol) but you should really have a plan going in as to how you're going to use them and as @Candycane83 said it is printed on your receipt.

how old are your kids again?

my gut feeling is that it may not be worth it to you to do the DDP and you would be better off OOP. I feel like at least two of your kids are older teens and I'm not even sure if one or both of the younger ones is over 9 (I can't remember, sorry... lol).

if you don't have at least half of your party as disney kids and combined with the fact that you want to do MORE TS than would be allotted and also combined with the sheer number of people you have to keep track of credits for, my gut feeling is that you will be scrambling to use up cs and snack credits at the end of your trip and you will be far better off just paying as you go.

I know you listed your TS but you never answered me about how many days you'd be there. I am not a DDP hater at all using it myself but my savings is coming from two places: half of the credits being kid credits (it is a HUGE value for kids at buffets) and going to a lot of good value restaurants as well as planning how to utilize the plan. @Candycane83 is an adult only party but also has put a lot of time into planning how to utilize the plan. Seeing your plans I think you are going to be stressed and unhappy with the DDP. I hope you don't take offense :)
She has a 4 year old and 6 year old I think. It might be doable but she needs to make the calculations. I've never done computations for the regular DDP so I'm not sure how to factor in QS. I only made computations based on the TS restaurants we are going to and that made it worth it for us... Right now I think it'll be approximately 200 without snacks and mugs. :) @rasadkowski i think you need to make your calculations before deciding on DDP. It may be easier just to pay OOP but you need to do some number crunching :P If you need any help, I'd love to help you out, just PM me :) (love numbers... Hahaha)

No offense taken at all!! Not even the slightest :) it's so funny, Reading this I pictured you sitting there with a crystal ball and big earrings and stuff using psychic powers to see that I have two teens, maybe over 9 :) lol I have two little girls, 6 and 4... It's impossible for anyone to remember everyone's family details! It's funny how yes, a few details on here I have randomly remembered!.... We are 4 adults and 2 kids
Anyway, so sorry about that question!!! These are our dates. And yes, a lot of 2 ts a day....but then likely will not need all those other qs/snacks... I mean a few, but not the allotted on ddp...

Arrive 12/3 in the am ..Chef Mickey dinner
12/4 (Emm bkfast) park fare dinner
12/5. Crystal palace bkfast. Ohana dinner
12/6 yak and yeti dinner
12/7 akershus bkfast. Biergarten dinner
12/8. Tusker house bkfast
12/9. CRt bkfast. Bog dinner
12/10 leave insanely early

We will use qs for lunches...... I'm pretty certain the deluxe is too much for us. I'm feeling you may be right about oop. Then again, I feel like Disney has already done this work for me and is like " you're just going to buy our ddp because we have made the difference in $$$ so close to ( but of course over) the cusp of your budget that you're just going to go ahead and give in!"
