Hello all,
It's been a couple of years since we've been to Disneyland (or since I posted here for that matter). DH and I were unable to go to Disneyland this year during our normal time of early/mid August and are thinking of going for a short trip the first week of December. It would be our first time seeing the Christmas Decor, and while I am aware there is no such thing as a slow season, can anyone give me an idea how the crowds will compare in early December to what we have experienced in August.

Thanks!

Last year, I went in the first week of December and it was crowded. I actually think more crowded than early August, when a lot of pass holders are blocked from going to the parks. It was still a great time to go and I highly recommend it. The Christmas stuff is fantastic and a few of the rides are decked out for the holiday, too.

then your wednesday the 6th will be great, monday morning not so much as you have residue from the weekend, tuesday will be fine till night, evenings with all the lights tends to crowd up the week. I am only there from Monday to Wednesday after Candle. Looking forward to this year because I hope that extra week after thanksginving will lighten up crowds. In my 18 years of experiences, I find this week to be the best for management.

I dont know how bad it is in August, but dont expect that time in December to be light. I have been going that same time for several years, it used to be light,
but has been very busy the last couple of years. We saw over 80 minute waits for Pirates and 240 minute waits for RSR. Kinda crazy. I think it is because a lot of APs go that week, before they become blocked for the season. But it is still fun to be there during the Christmas season.

also a higher % of fireworks being cancelled due to wind that dec week ....which is always interesting to see folks run over to WOC...... where wind pretty much puts a damper on the sprays of water.

We went to Disneyland in early December in 2015 and it was much busier than I expected it to be. The weather was cold and we got a decent amount of rain as well. I don't think we will be taking another trip to Disneyland in December in the future. All of our other early December trips have been to the FL parks, which are pretty dang quiet in early December.
