1st week of Aug. how crowded?

Now that I have school age children, I usually go to Disney @ the very end of May, beginning of June. It's crowded, but w/ fp we are able to do everything. This year we are going the 1st week of Aug. I'm hearing that this time is so crowded that we'll only get 2 fp per day. I'm considering going the last day of Sept. through 1st week of Oct. instead. I would have to take my children out of school. Any comments or advice

The first week of August is one of those Max peak times., however we did this time last year and with a good plan we had a great time. September is one of the slowest times at WDW and is a great time to visit.

If your main concern is crowds, and those two weeks are your only options, late September should be your choice.

However, why not try later in August...there's free dining (you must book by this Sunday, June 4) and the crowds are MUCH lighter after August 15.
