We just booked POR for Nov 28-Dec 5...who else is going to be there that week!? I know you guys are out there, so let's get a thread going to we can help each other get through the next few months of planning!

Here's my question...without the December hours/EMH days out yet, how are you deciding on which park on which day? :confused3 I can make ADRs on Aug 30, but I don't think hours will be out then, and I need to start planning now! Any thoughts!?

We'll be there too! Dec. 1 - 6th at BWV.....can't wait! :) I'm waiting for the dates and narrators for the CP to come out before I plan which day for MVMCP...I wish they would hurry!

We will be there...staying at WL..
See the link in my siggy for our HUGE dis friends PTR-Join in in the planning and FUN!:goodvibes

We'll be there Nov 29-Dec 5 :cool1: SO excited! We are planning on suprising the kids-this will be our 1st trip to wdw at Christmastime! Hopefully I can keep my big mouth shut till then and not tell them!! We are staying at All Star Sports. I'm in the same dilema with parks and making adr's. Ughhhh! Some of my adr's are IN parks and I am not sure yet what day to do what park. I know I am going to do mvmcp on Dec 1 b/c that is my ds's birthday & I think that would be really special to do that for his birthday. So I think that day we'll do resort adr's and hang out until 4pm when it is time to go to MK. I may do an early dinner there that night at either CP or LTT. I'm not sure what day that week to plan for dhs. I want to eat at Sci-Fi this time, and I know that is a hard ressie to get (tried for my last trip) so I need to pick a date for dhs soon.

We are going too! The end of Nov thru beginning of Dec not sure of the exact dates. We will be staying at WL too:santa: Can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had to change my login name because I couldn't get my old one to work, so it appears I have been reborn without ears! :)

We just booked today using the Disney Visa promotion! I am so grateful to these boards and so excited!! :worship: My husband and I were going to be going through FL on our way to a Caribbean cruise leaving from St. Thomas, so we decided to stop at WDW on the way for 4 nights (12/4-12/8) and revisit the WL where we started our honeymoon!

I wanted to pass on some info I've seen elsewhere, in case anyone here hasn't. The big DisneyWorld Christmas parade (shown on Christmas day all over the country) will likely be taping in the MK on Dec. 4th and 5th (if last year's taping time holds true this year). There will likely be schedule changes and lots of production equipment, crews, etc. on those days at the MK. So those days may not be so great for MK. Also, Pop Warner and the Cheerleaders' competitions are going to be at DW the 5th through 12th, and although they will be busy most days, they will be a big presence at Value and Moderate resorts, and at theme parks in the evenings.

Not sure if it qualifies at the first week, but we'll be at POR Dec 4th-12th :cool1:

We will be there too! Nov 29-Dec 5. Staying at the Pop, love that place!
The hubby is calling it our belated honeymoon since we never got one. We have been married 7 years.

I too and am having a hard time waiting on making the ADRs, I pretty much have the places I want to go to listed out it is just when and where for each one. Not having the hours out makes it so difficult. Our last trip there was only once we didn't have to leave the park to make dinner, I hope to do better this time.
Can't wait, it will be so much fun! :yay:

Me, me, me!! I am going. We are staying at the Pop 11/27-12/7. YIPPEEE! Can't wait to make ADR's. We had a free dining pin.

I am, too! Just booked today...staying at POP from 12/4 til 12/13. I can't wait, I know I won't be able to sleep tonight, I am so pumped!! Can't wait til park hours come out!

Count us in - Dec. 1-4 at Beach Club; 4-9 at Poly - can't wait for EMH and CP schedules to come out

I'm so excited about this trip!
We'll be staying at ASMu Dec 4th to the 8th. Arriving 3 days after DS birthday (Heather, my DS will be 6 on Dec 1) and departing one day before my birthday! AND it is my first trip, my DS first trip and DD (17) first trip!

I know what you mean about the EMH schedule. I am starting to plan just the first day for now. I'm running into a brick wall with that one right now. I really, really, REALLY want to be at Cinderella's Castle for the fireworks on my first night, but I'm not sure if that's going to be possible. We'll be getting to the resort about 11 am or so on our first day but I'm not sure I want to rush off and spend the rest of the day in MK.

Any advice on whether it's better to park hop or not? BTW, any BTDTs that can give me advice on the weather? Swimming in December just seems wrong to me being from NJ! :scared1:

Thanks!
Colleen

Oh neat! My ds will be 8 Dec 1 :) Yay On the first trip-how exciting! I've never been in December, but my friend that lives in Orlando said that it is still pretty nice in December during the day for swimming, plus the pools are heated. She said they don't usually get their 1st cold snap until Jan-Feb. But, I have also heard it can get a little chilly in the evenings, so I am planning on packing a few pairs or pants, light weight jackets, ect, for late nights in the parks. It is going to be weird wearing shorts and seeing Christmas tree's and swimming! (I'm from Mass).

I never Park Hop-I find I just like to stick with 1 park per day, I feel like I get more done that way. Thats just me-I don't think you can go wrong either way. I paid to add the extra $50 per ticket once to hop, and only used it once, so not worth it to me.

So glad to hear that the weather will still be good to swim!! It will be weird swimming and nice weather, we are from Michigan so no swimming for us that time of year.

To answer the poster's question on park hopping. We do get the hopper, while it isn't ideal to hop ( I would like to do one park per day) most of the time it can't be realistic if you want specific ADRs. Last trip we only got to do the same park for the day and for dinner. Most of the time it was one park for the day then a quick trip back to the hotel to freshen up (or nap) then off the the dinner park where we would finish the night.
To me it is worth the flexiblity.

Where is everyone planning/hoping to get adr's too? I wonder if some of us will end up at the same places/times?! I'm thinking:

O'Hanas breakfast
Whispering Canyon Cafe (Dinner)
Cape May Dinner Buffet
Chef Mickeys (Dinner)
Sci-Fi (Lunch or Dinner)
CRT breakfast (MAYBE)

I'm trying to do places I have never been, except O'Hanas, that is a must-do every time. I LOVE the pineapple bread!:lovestruc

This is our "wish list" so far...

Akershus - dinner (a first for us)
Le Cellier - dinner (recommend if you haven't tried it before)
'Ohana - dinner (we did breakfast last time and loved it)
Yak and Yeti - dinner
San Angel
Garden Grill
Coral Reef
Boatwrights

Notice that's 8 and we only have 7 table services! Something's gotta go!

We weren't too impressed with Chef Mickey last time we ate there, and we did CRT last trip, too, so we won't do that again this time. I suggested SciFi to DH (since that's all he watches) and he said no! :confused3

Hopefully we can get most of the ones we want. Has anyone ever booked ADRs online before? I guess you get on bright and early and try to secure your more popular choices first?

I'm going to shoot for Chef Mickey for a breakfast, maybe 1900 Park Fare or Akershus for another breakfast (just us girls), the rest is still up in the air for us.

There are so many choices I just don't know where to start!
