1st visit w/ kids and GP's

Planning a 1st time visit with 9 & 12 year old as well as GP's...one who will need a scooter? Thinking of staying at the Animal Kingdom...how long is the shuttle ride to the Disney Park from there? Should we be more centrally located?

Planning a 1st time visit with 9 & 12 year old as well as GP's...one who will need a scooter? Thinking of staying at the Animal Kingdom...how long is the shuttle ride to the Disney Park from there? Should we be more centrally located?

We loved animal kingdom. Something about watching giraffes from your balcony gets me every time. As for distance from the parks, it depends on the park. It's only about five minutes from animal kingdom but further for the others. I think the longest ride was about fifteen minutes maybe twenty.
