Its our 1st trip and I am trying to plan as much as possible so that we arent running around like chickens with our heads cut off...we will arrive on Sunday everning around 4 pm and leave Saturday morning very early in the a.m. Me, DH, DS (2), and Inlaws

So here's what I am thinking...we are doing the dining plan in case that matters:

Hoop De Doo
Crystal Palace
LeCellier
50's Prime Time
Hollywood & Vine Character Breakfast (cant remember offical name right now)

and we may also do Rainforest Cafe, and I am doing Kona, cause I wan the toast ;) I need to see which ones I can actually get ressies for when my time comes...so opinions please...

Like your choices - but make sure you have a back up choice for Le Cellier - it's not so easy to get. And, FYI, the Dining plan is credited for Nights you stay, not days. So if you arrive on Sunday & leave early Saturday you will be on the Dining Plan for 6 nights so you'll have 6 TS credits per person. What you have listed so far is 7 TS credits if you are going to include Kona Cafe - that's a table service restaurant.

If you're talking about wanting the tonga toast, you can get that at Captain Cook's counter service restaurant in the Poly and could just pay cash for it there, or you could do the full breakfast at Kona & pay cash there because the most expensive breakfast platter there is like $15 for a huge meal. But if all you're really wanting is the tonga toast, go to Captain Cook's.

Rainforest Cafe is not on the Dining Plan at all so that would have to be cash.

Like PP said, have a back up on Le Cellier. I think it'd be easier to get if you are either flexible on what day you are wanting to eat there or you plan it for later in your trip... perhaps a day that is typically slower for Epcot aka not the weekend or on an EMH.

As for what back up, it's up to you. Obviously you've researched restaurants at WDW you know what your family will like.

Thanks for the heads up about the Captain Cooks. I didnt know I could get the toast there...i will defintely be doing that instead of sit down. The rest of the family want to get to the parks but were willing to give in to me for the toast ;) I know from reading here about having a back up for LeCellier or being very flexible...so thats our plan...thanks for y'all feedback..now this :surfweb: will be me until I can book :rotfl:

You have some good ideas on your ressie's. I do have a comment though. You don't mention where you are staying but getting to the Hoop De Doo Review can be trying with little ones. We stayed at ASM in October and thought we were headed on a "World Tour" to get to that one! Enjoy your trip! :cheer2:

Those look like great choices! We did most of those with our 2 and 4 year old last year and they loved them. A word of caution on LeCellier. The types of food and portions make it a little challenging to split with 2 year old. We ended up paying oop for our son to eat.

What meal are you thinking about at Crystal Palace?

H&V was a ton of fun!!! Character interaction was great when we were there in December. We had a 10:10 am breakfast, and the place was only half full. Each character came to the table several times. Enjoy!! :cool1:

We like 'em all, altho I can't vouch for H&V's breakfast. We've eaten dinner there once in the last three years, and it was OK ... probably one of the lesser WDW buffets, but our experience wasn't bad.

We lived for some years right up the road from y'all, in McComb, MS ... we try to make it to NOLA even now about once a month!

We are staying at the All Star Music and i was worried about that as well, so I looked it up of a travel calculator and it says that by bus it can take and hour or if you drive it only takes 15 minutes. We are driving in from NOLA anyway so we will drive to that ressie...thanks for the headsup though :goodvibes

I thought about that issue at LeCellier too..but since he isnt a big eater I figured bread and butter, or cherrios from my bag will do and we can feed him before or after with fruit or cheese..the child loves cheese LOL. We want to do breakfast at CP, but will take what we can get...

I am hoping my son enjoys this he doesnt really watch JoJo's circus but he does watch Little Einsteins...I cant wait to get there...:woohoo: We will probably do a late breakfast there like you did, thanks for the tip!

Howdy neighbor...we will be there for breakfast...not that much chance to screw it up ;)

Hoop De Doo
Crystal Palace
LeCellier
50's Prime Time
Hollywood & Vine Character Breakfast (cant remember offical name right now)/QUOTE]

I enjoyed HDDR, Crystal Palace (for breakfast more so than lunch, but both were good), and H&V breakfast ("Play and Dine"). Haven't tried the others. Yet. :cool2:

Hello from Baton Rouge!

The only thing I might add is (depending on DS ages) combine one of your TS at HS with the Fantasmic package.

We loved it....walked right in like movie stars....didn't have to stand in line....the kids felt like VIPS!

Mine are teens now .....a DFF (Disney Fanatic Friend) at work with small kids said some of the scary sequences at Fantasmic were a bit scary for her little ones....but my kids loved it.....at one point....DD had tears in her eyes...she loved it so much !

Hugs,
Mary

PS: We always do H & V TS on our HS days for lunch or dinner...I know some folks are negative about it but when pleasing a family of 5 and making sure everyone gets something to eat....I find this buffet gets us our moneys worth and I don't have to worry about someone going hungry.

We had such fun at the CP breakfast. We've also done a late lunch there (1:30) and that was a lot of fun too. My parents are real foodies and I think my dad was most impressed with the food choices there of the week.

When we did LeCellier, we ordered a bowl of the soup to pay oop for my DH. My son took over the bowl and DH ended up with a bite or two. The kids were not willing to share for anything!
