Finally went "home" last week for the first time-only 4 days, but it's a start! Checked in last Wed (a week ago) about 4pm. No line, very pleasant CM. Had only requested a non smoking studio. Were put in 3426 on Turtle Pond Road right near the bus stop. Only negative-right on the corner so heard all the traffic. Really enjoyed coffee on the balcony in the AM-overlooked the tennis courts. A large tree off the balcony had a beautiful male cardinal one morning feeding his youngster. Did the new attractions for the Happiest Celebration-Cinderellabration at MK (beautiful-felt bad for those in costume as it was very hot), Stunt Car show at MGM-great, watched "Lucky" the animatronic dinosaur at AK, and did Soarin at Epcot-THAT was awesome! This little chicken even did Test Track for the 2d time. It was a great time, DH was wished a Happy Father's Day several times. Room was clean, neat, no issues. Would recommend if you drink tea take some with you. Can't wait to go home again 3-10 November.

Glad you had a nice time. We've only stayed in an OKW studio once, and it was a great experience. "Our" tree story didn't involve a cardinal, but one of the little lizards that I watched climbing up the tree, and we were on the 3rd floor.

I was disappointed with Lucky, for me it was a 1 object parade, not worth the fuss.

Glad you had a great time and enjoyed our "home". Studios are not something I prefer to stay in, but it's probably better than a hotel room!

Glad you had a great trip home-our favorite resort, too. Aren't cardinals beautiful birds? And thanks for the room report!

bobbiwoz-After all the search to figure out what it was, I agree it was a little disappointing, but we still enjoyed it. Once we realized it was a totally automated creature, it was a little more fun. Too bad I hadn't had a chance to actually make it go!

dianeschlict-I agree that we would have rather had a 1 bedroom, but since we are going back in November and had already reserved a studio, I didn't want to be unhappy that I had to "downgrade" to a studio. Figured what I didn't know wouldn't make me wish for more!

LOL, good point and good strategy!

Glad you had a good time and enjoyed you stay. We are looking forward to our trip in Oct. with our whole family

Some people have the luck.

I had this experience a loooooong time ago when I was about five. We had a enclosed window porch with a low trellis outside. A cardinal nest was built in it and I got to see a family raised. Remember it like it was yesterday.

Were both cardinals red, or was one green? The adult cardinals not only feed the babies, but the male cardinal feed the female cardinal. We have lots of them around here and love watching them.

Hmm-The 2d bird had the red cardinal tail, didn't seem as large as a female (at least ours here), but it sure wasn't as red as the male. I didn't know that about the feeding.

The female cardinal has red feathers on her tail, but is more of a green/gray color. Immature males are VERY bright red. The adult male cardinal will feed the female during breeding season.
