The one pamphlet we received with our docs said the soda package was for kids 12 and under. What about a 14 year old and a 44 year old who does not drink alcohol?

The payment authorization is only 1 per room? What if you want to charge separately? We are travelling as a group but we all don't share the same credit cards! How does that work?

We have a land/sea package with transfers included. Do we hand all of our trip docs to them at the airport or when we get to Port Canaveral?

I told you they were dumb questions. Thank you up front for your help. It's just I want to make sure we have everything in order. We are 'green' 1st timers!

Three weeks .... can't wait.

First off...there are NO dumb questions! If one can't help you, usually someone else can! We all had questions before we cruised, lots of us have questions before every cruise!:D

Re: payment auth......you will receive a statement at the end of the cruise with all charges for the room separated by which KTTW card it was charged on. Whether they can charge separate credit cards within one room...I don't know.

Re: transfers...........keep all your papers handy. The folks at the airport are super friendly and will know which paper/tickets to take. They can explain it all to you. When you get off the plane, assuming you fly into Orlando, take the monorail from your gate to the main airport and look for the Disney Cruise rep. They are easy to spot. He/she will wait for other passengers and then take you to the buses. It's really very simple. Just remember to be patient and smile while in line!

Hi,

I went on the Disney Cruise at the beginning of May. My friend and I used our own credit card and were in the same room, so yes you can use different payments if you are in the same cabin. You can also go to guest services at any time to get a print out of all charges to your Key to the World card. Just to let you know, we ordered 6 cans of soda and 6 bottles water from room service and my friend charged them to her room key, but the charge appeared on my key even though she signed!! We then ordered the same thing from room service later in the week and used her key again (because we were splitting the drinks) and it again appeared on my bill. Just so you're aware, you can charge separately, but keep an eye on your charges because they do make mistakes and sometimes charge the wrong person!!

Have a great trip!

Kathy

The refillable mug for soda is available to ALL now, not just kids. :)

Enjoy your cruise! :)

We suggested on our comment card in 1999 and 2000 that a pop option for adults would be nice, like the mugs at the resorts.

Last I heard there was a mug program going on. You buy a mug for about $5 per day--therefore it is different price depending on the length of the cruise. It gives anyone unlimited soda-pop refills.

That is what we plan to do. We rarely drink alcohol (wine with dinner is about it) and are pleased with this option since it includes adults as the former program was for kids only.

Perhaps your documents are older so that is what you read.

Have a super trip!!

Dear All;
Thanks for your advice and answers. Greatly appreciated!

Dear Pal2Pluto;
We leaving from Newark to Orlando.

Dear DisneyJumper;
Sorry, but we are on the 27th Wonder. Cabin 6116 in case you are interesed. Keep the ship in good shape for us! We will be at WL beginning the 23rd.

For separate charges to different credit cards, put the credit card info for each person in their document package. In other words, I had a document package for myself and one for my DW. In each doc package, there was a page for the credit card info. We each could have had a separate credit card, if we wanted it that way.

The refillable mug program is not by age at all. We are both adults and we each had a mug on the last cruise, same price for all. It's an average of $5 per day but costs the same if you buy it on the first day or the last.

If you have the Land / Sea package with transfers, you'll have one checkin at the resort. Your KTTW card works for the resort and for the cruise, so you won't have to checkin again at the port. I haven't used the DCL transfers before but my understanding is that there is a separate coupon page for each leg that will be collected when due.

Like the others said, no dumb questions.

'Green' first time cruisers have a great time also. Maybe even a better time since you're seeing the cruise for the first time and everything is a new experience.

Enjoy your cruise!

hope that helps
