My family and I are going to WDW for the 1st time ever on August 21-27. We are staying at the Beach Club Resort. Going with husband and twin daughters. My sister-in-law and her husband will join us for 3 days. My twin daughters will turn 10 in Sept, so this is their early birthday present! I've never been to WDW, so I'm just as excited as they are. I booked my ADR's (no dining plan), but have a question about departure day. We have a 9:45 pm flight back to Newark, NJ so have most of the day free. I booked an 8:25 breakfast ADR at Crystal Palace on departure day. I've been told it's amazing to get into the park before opening for photos. We are already eating dinner at Crystal Palace our first evening, but my girls love Pooh. I'm not so concerned about rope drop the last day because we will make rope drop another day and we can fast pass anything else My girls are not big thrill riders, so Splash or Space Mountain are not on our list. My question that I'm debating is if this breakfast ADR on departure day is be too much after almost a full week WDW? My girls will have to stay up much of the day and night for our late flight and we will have checked out early that morning. Should we sleep in on departure day and keep the day open and loose or suck it up and go for the CP 8:25 am breakfast and magical feeling of being in the park before the crowds? I suppose we can take it easy the rest of the day and go back to pool to rest later. We just won't have access to our rooms since we will have checked out. Here's our itinerary. Any advice appreciated! TIA

We are planning on getting early to parks most days and taking mid-afternoon breaks every day.

Thurs, 8/21. 6 am flight from Newark. Explore resort, relax, check-in. Lunch at resort and swim during afternoon. MK late afternoon. Crystal Palace ADR at 5:45 with whole family (sister in law and husband are joining us). My girls are dying to see MK the first day. It's supposed to be crowded, but we are not planning on rides (well, maybe a fast pass for Jungle Cruise!). We want to soak up Main Street, maybe ride the train, pick up 1st timer and birthday buttons, eat dinner and then return to resort after dinner for early bedtime.

Fr., 8/22. HS. CS dinner in Epcot WS. (Not totally sure. My BIL is planning this day.)

Sat, 8/23. MK for rope drop. 11:50 BBB reservation (birthday surprise for daughters) and 1:15 CRT. Ordered the chocolate slipper dessert for birthday celebration. Wishes that night.

Sun, 8/24. Relax at resort during day. 4:30 Via Napoli dinner. Epcot at night and Illuminations.

Mon, 8/25. Epcot during day. Hollywood Brown Derby 5:30. Fantasmic.

Tues, 8/26. Tusker House 8:10 breakfast. Animal Kingdom. Dinner and shopping in DTD.

Wed, 8/27. Check-out. 8:25 am ADR Crystal Palace. Spend morning in MK. Rest of day open. Epcot? Magical Express at 6:45. Flight at 9:45. Arriving home at 12:45 am! Fortunately, we live close to airport.

Looks awesome to me! Plenty of time to swim in the great pool at your resort!

Just one question. Why don't you drop the hoppers and save some $? Can't you just do HS all on the same day at Epcot on the other?

I hadn't thought about dropping the park hopper. Might be something to consider.

I think doing cp the last morning will be a fun and memorable end to your trip. It looks like you have a decently early night the previous night. Overall you built in some downtime to your plans, which I think is smart. Make sure to schedule your fp+ when your window opens up at the 60 day mark, even for the first night when you say you aren't worried about rides. Might as well do a few :). Hope you and your family have a blast!

I think that you might be able to handle it. You will likely be done with AK early and Downtown Disney shouldn't be that much trouble. I would make it a point to be in bed early that night.

You also have some down time during the week. I would keep the ADR, at least for now.

I highly recommend the cp breakfast on the last day! My family said it was their favorite meal of the trip. We stayed at beach club also and loved the close proximity to both Epcot and hs. Make sure you make time for stormalong bay!

Thanks everyone! I think I'll keep that Adr. I am so looking forward to this trip!

I think Crystal Palace is an awesome way to end your trip. Your plans look great. I'd hang on to the park hoppers. I like having the option just in case.

There's nothing like going to MK one last time to say "bye" or "until next time". As depressing as it might be, it's totally worth doing! When I was little we always spent our last morning there and I'll never forget how special is was!

Now I'm so glad I got that ADR. When planning the week, my daughters said that's where they wanted to spend the last day -- and at the pool.
