First timers here....wondering if it would be too cold to go swimming, snork, etc. in Nov , Jan or Feb??? Those are the old times we could even think of affording a cruise.

Any and all help GREATLY appreciated!

I've never cruised in Nov (done Sept/Oct several times). We've done 4 DCL cruises in Feb., and 2 other cruise lines in Feb. On 3 of the 4 DCL...total 5 of the 6 cruises in Feb, the weather has been sunny, warm, and wonderful. On one Feb. cruise, it was too cold to swim. It was still like 65-70, but that was too cold for us.

So, I'd think that your odds are pretty good in Feb, and we're cruising again in Feb. this year....but I always pack one "cool weather" outfit.

Not compared to the 22 degrees it is here.

If affordability is the issue, look into September. We cruised on the 25th of September this past fall, and it was wonderful. The prices were lower than anything I've seen all year ($599 pp for the 7 day eastern).

to go in September but my wife is a teacher and without that being the first full month of schoo....no way!

Thanks for the advice!

We went on the Eastern cruise the end of January. It was in the 50's when we left and pretty cool until Tuesday, by the time we got to St. Maarten it was in the 80's. The water at Castaway Cay was pretty cool but the temps were about 80. If you are going on a 7 day cruise you will definatly hit warm weather, if you are going to the Bahamas it could be cool. We had a great time regardless of the weather!:sunny:

We went on our first cruise on the 11/15/03 Eastern and the weather was BEAUTIFUL!!! We were in the pool every day & shorts during the day when we weren't. I had some sleeveless dresses that were very comfortable without a sweater at night. We liked it so much that we rebooked for the 12/4/04 Western. The only time that it seemed chilly at all is when we were moving. It was nice on deck but the Mickey pool was cold IMO, though it didn't keep the kids out. LOL! Moving at 22 knots or there abouts makes quite the breeze.
