1st Timer to WDW - how'd I do with my ADR's?

We just booked our first trip to WDW in Feb, which will be followed by a 4 day Disney cruise with friends that was booked almost a year ago. We are staying at the WL w/ the DDP, and have boys who are 3 and 5 years old. These are the ADRs I booked today ...any thoughts?

Day 1 afternoon arrival and no parks - character dinner at Chef Mickey's
Day 2 HS - lunch at SciFi
Day 3 MK - character breakfast at CP before park opens
Day 4 AK - lunch at Tusker house w/ Nemo show reserved seating
Day 5 open day w/ dinner at WCC (where we are staying)
Day 6 open day w/ dinner at Ohana
Day 7 Epcot and dinner at Le Cellier
Day 8 the day we leave for the cruise...I'm wondering if I should book a character breakfast here? They will get character interaction on the cruise so don't know if we need this.

Am I missing any must go to restaurants for young boys? They are outgoing and love to be entertained. We will be coming back for a day with friends after the cruise and plan to hang at downtown disney and go to Trex then. I am wondering if I should replace the Tusker House lunch with a BOMA dinner. I would have chosen BOMA if that wasn't an magic evening hours day. It'll be our third straight day at parks so I figure we might relax in the morning, head over to AK for lunch and then do the park stuff into the evening.

I'd would take a look at the Playhouse Disney character meal instead of Sci Fi this trip. I think Sci Fi could be fine, but your boys are at a great age for the Play 'n Dine at Hollywood & Vine meal. It can be either lunch or breakfast. You can save Sci Fi for when they're older.

You've used up your TS credits (7) so I wouldn't bother with another TS meal on your departure day. You can have CS at the resort or I think there is a buffet meal waiting for you on the ship.

L:walk up service at AK Just have a snack the buffet should be really filling and again you'll want room for Cora Reef. AK has some great fresh fruit stands. If you must have a "meal" many like Flame Tree so maybe share somethings there.

Day 4 B: Cape May Cafe
L:Sci Fi I again worry about being able to fit this in, literally. If you are not on the DP, perhaps just indulge in the famous milkshakes and onion rings here. If you are on the DP, maybe pay OOP if you eat light.

Day 5 Brincess at Epcot (norway) Celebrating 5th bday
L: walk up
D:walk up ----leaving orlando Beaches & Cream at the Boardwalk area might be a good choice. No ADRs taken, but you'll have to wait to be seated. This could work for a Lunch or Dinner time meal.

As you can read my theme: 3 meals can be tough. On the days we had a buffet it would have been impossible to eat 2 TS meals, let alone 3 meals in general. We had Chef Mickey's at 11:30am, my next meal was after 9pm, it was a shared CS sandwich/cake/drink and we had some cake left to take back to the room (Main St. Bakery, yum). On another buffet day, we ate a shared CS breakfast platter, Mickey bar in the park, then the buffet. It was work to try everything at Boma and I basically passed on the dessert selections there. Our group Me, Mom younger than yours and a 6yo boy. If you are planning the 3 meals for the effect of the "break", I think that is smart, but your stomaches might not agree.

OOP = out of pocket (as in paying for your food out of pocket as opposed to the dining plan) The acronyms on this board can be brutal, but there is a sticky around somewhere that explains them all. It takes awhile but you will catch on.

Good job there mom!

Your trip sounds like a lot of fun. The only recommendation I would make (after doing this with kids roughly the same ages as yours) would be to stagger your "open days" out a little more. I honestly can't do more than 2 full days in a row in the parks before I need serious R&R.....but maybe that's just me.

I wouldn't book a character breakfast that morning, cause the cruise has plenty o' characters (seems like I was always passing one on their way to and from signings).

That said, how did you do?

(Actually, I'm a bit surprised because I that all parents of kids aged 3-8 always made MK their first park. Nothing wrong with not doing it this way, though, imho.)

You did VERY well. The only thing I would change is Sci Fi...perhaps to the 50's prime time restaurant instead. I just do not think the food at Sci Fi is worth it. The atmosphere is cool, but the food is lackluster.

I think you did a great job! I've never been to Sci-Fi but I've heard some positive things (as well as some negatives...but you could ask about any restaurant on the DIS and get positive AND negative comments). LeCellier is our favorite restaurant! Your boys will like Tusker House since there's characters...I think my three would have preferred TH over Boma. They didn't care for Boma for breakfast.
