1st - how far in advance do we get are document package

2nd - will that show the room confirmation for our cat 4 or better

3rd - when will parents know if they got their upgrade to cat 3

THANKS :Pinkbounc

I've never heard of anyone getting upgraded at those category levels. There are very few category 3s on the ship, and they sell out - Especially on a "Spring Break" cruise.

But, You'll get your documents anywhere from five weeks to ten days before travel - generally about two or three weeks.

That will have your room number on it for your cat 4 (or better - but its really unlikely that it will be anything other than a four).

Your parents will know when they get their documents. There is a slight possiblility that it will be upgraded between the time the documents are printed and check in - in which case they'll find out at the terminal. But I've never heard of this being the case.

A little off topic, but are your reservations linked with your other family members? If not, call DCL and have them do that for you (or your travel agent). That way you'll have the same dining rotation and be seated at the same table. It would be nice too, if your parents are upgraded to a cat 3 and you were able to get a connecting cat 4. There are only 4 staterooms that have that type of set-up, but you can always hope for a little pixie dust.

Yes, we are all connected. The T.A. said we'll all be at the same table .. same rotation. I'm not concerned about us getting better than a 4. I'm hoping my parents and sister get upgraded ... I think its noted she is willing to pay the difference to get a 3. That is what she originally wanted to book. I guess we can just hope that someone changes their mind and does send in payment !!

Thanks for the info

I've only seen one post on the boards here ever where someone was upgraded to a category 3. It doesn't seem likely to happen with only 18 cat 3 rooms onboard. If someone cancels a cat 3 room for some reason, there might be a significant wait list for that level, so don't know the liklihood of it happening ... but you can always hope (just don't be disappointed if it does not happen).

We also wanted to book a category 3 for our cruise in March but there was no availability.
