1st timer becomes a 2nd timer! Two trip reports collide! Trip Reports Complete!

Alright I have a little bit of time before I have to go back to sleep to work the next 3 days so I figured I should try to get an update in here!

Day 2 of my first trip to Disneyland meant going to Mickey's Halloween Party! I was so excited about this. I REALLY wanted to go Trick or Treating!!

Since my friend was on an ever tighter budget than I was she was only purchasing a 2-day PH and therefor we were staying out of the parks until we could get in with our party tickets.

We decided to head to Downtown Disney and go shopping for our costumes. We had already decided before we left home what we would be purchasing. My friend also did her souvenir shopping as she wouldn't have much other time to do so before she left.

After we had done out shopping we walked around DTD and then decided we would just grab cereal in our motel room for our lunch. We then attempted to take a nap before heading back to DL.

We got our wristbands and party tickets and started walking around DL.

ry%3D400

We had our pics taken in front of the Huge Mickey Pumpkin in our costumes.
(Unfortunately the photographer cut off my hat and the pumpkin!)
ry%3D400

Main Street was pretty crowded!
ry%3D400

Instead of trying to ride rides with it so crowded we headed back to DTD for something to eat before the party officially began.

We ended up just grabbing sandwiches at La Brea express. I had a tuna sandwich.. not sure what kind my friend had... I actually only ate half of it. I felt like it was really dry and didn't care for it all that much. I had really wanted a Baked Potato and at first they went to get me one then said they weren't ready then when I was at the check-out they said they were ready so went to get me one and after I paid they again said they weren't ready so had to give me my money back! Very frustrating!!

After we ate our dinner we headed back into DL. We headed to the villains Meet-n-Greet area and got in line.

There was another family sitting their waiting. They did not have party bands though and were hoping to get to meet the villains before being asked to leave the park. I'm not sure what happened with them though as when the Villains came out my friend and I ended up being first to see them!

Up first was the Evil Queen! She goes "You like to dress like a rodent" Ha-ha... Was funny!

Unfortunately we didn't get a picture with her :confused3

The Next Villain was Jafar. Since he is not a face character he couldn't talk.
ry%3D400

The final Character was Maleficent! My memory blanks on if she talked though

ry%3D400

From the Villain Meet we headed to our first trick or treat line. This line looked long but it went really quickly.
ry%3D400

From there we did a lot more trick or treating and then head back around to the hub to grab our spot for the Halloween Screams!

To be continued!

Oh my goodness!! Maleficent!! I love Maleficent!! She is my favorite villain!! I am sincerely jealous!!;)

So I last left off with us circling around doing some trick or treating and then ending up in the hub.

Just before the hub we encountered this guy...
ry%3D400

He was a moving/talking scarecrow and was pretty funny!

Once we were in the hub we were kinda confused for awhile as cast members kept moving benches around and we couldn't figure out where we would be able to get a spot.

We finally figured we would just lay claim to a spot of pavement to the right of the partners statue in the street. We both sat down and just hung out for awhile. (I have no clue what time we sat down). Shortly before the fireworks were to start we stood up.

I actually used my flip camera to get a video of the fireworks but I haven't uploaded the video anywhere.

These are some pics I got with my iPhone in my left hand while my right held the flip.

The pictures are not the best but they are okay considering they are from a cell phone!

The fireworks were absolutely spectacular~! I can understand why people were uspet they were not available on non-party nights but I think the make the fee for the party seem not quite so bad! I really thought they were wonderful!!

After the fireworks we headed to see Jack & Sally. However as was typical for me the line had just gotten cut off for Sally but Jack would be coming out shortly!

So here we got to meet Jack after a not to long wait.
ry%3D400

We probly did more trick or treating as well but I cannot remember for sure!

After Jack we went to the Pirates meet n greet area where at the time we got in line Peter Pan and Captain Hook were greeting guests but by the time we got there instead we found!>!>!>!

ry%3D400

Another Jack!

ry%3D400

Captain Jack Sparrow was a ton of fun! He asked why I had let him go. I said I didn't let him go... He said Well you are the mouse in charge right?!? I said "well Yes" he goes well then why did you fire me!?!? Ha Ha it was lots of fun!

The wait for Jack was quite lengthy though. I did like that he spent more than a few seconds with each person though! I am also glad that it had switched to Captain Jack while we were in line because although it would have been nice to meet Peter Pan I will meet Captain Hook a few times in the coming days.

And I'm going to leave this update here. I don't have too much more to cover for the Halloween Party...

So I last left off with seeing Captain Jack Sparrow but then realized I missed a few things!

After we watched the fireworks we took off to Fantasyland to catch a few rides! WE searched for the line entrance to Matterhorn and after we finally found it we hopped right on! By the time we got off the line was getting much longer! We then ran to It's a small world where we only had a few minutes wait. I have to say this was not a pleasant ride. Unfortunatly we had a few people behind us why TALKED through the entire ride! It was so irritating and I was just so very frustrated! I can't wait to ride Small World Holiday and hopefully without the commentary!

Those are the only 2 rides I remember riding at that point... So then came Jack Skellington and Captain Jack and now to continue where I left off!

After Captain Jack Sparrow we headed to Critter Country. This was my first time in Critter Country and I was sad I didn't take more time to look around! WE hopped onto the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh with no wait! We were then off to meet the characters!

We met Tigger
ry%3D400

Who was trying to tell me I had the wrong character on my pen! My pen has Winnie the Pooh!

ry%3D400

Tigger wouldn't leave my friends hat alone!
ry%3D400

ry%3D400

Winnie unfortunately was far less animated than Tigger and didn't even notice that he was on my pen!!
ry%3D400

After we met with Tigger and Winnie we took a quick cruise through the shop there as I am looking for a Winnie the Pooh Fleecy Sweatshirt but wasn't able to find one. :-(

We then proceeded out of Critter Country but before we were out we encountered Brer Bear.. with no wait!!

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

At this point it was about 11:40pm so we decided to try and catch a couple more rides. so we walked back to fantasy land and had a very short wait for our sub for Finding Nemo... (our wait was just to wait for one sub to unload so we could get on)

I have to admit Finding Nemo is probably a ride I would forgo in the future. It is very cramped and I do not like that feeling. I am not extremely claustrophobic but when in a closed locked in space I feel much more so!

After we departed the subs we ran to Autopia where we were the last group to take a spin around the track. I was in the car behind my friend and someone else was behind me. The person behind me kept hitting me!! Plus my pedal was really hard to push and I think contributed to the foot pain I had the rest of the trip! (I say contributed because my feet were already hurting after the first day!)

At this time it was 12:02 when we got out of our cars so it was time to head back to the motel.

We stopped for a few more pics in front of the giant pumpkin...
ry%3D400

ry%3D400

AS we were leaving I had emptied my Trick-or-Treat bag into my bigger bag because I had heard that they had more candy as you left the park. This was not the case for us though! No more candy... oh well we had enough

So this concluded day #2 and the MHP.

A few notes about the party.... I felt it was far more crowded than I thought it would be. If my main goal had been to ride the rides with short waits I imagine that would have been prefect however my goal was to get character pics and candy!!

I wish I had known that I could meet Jack and Sally outside of the MHP because I would not have waited there and I would have looked for more characters that are not always available.

Sometime during the night it became pretty misty so we got a little wet but it wasn't too bad weather wise.

We completely missed the Character Cavalcade because we were in line to meet Captain Jack...

It's Official! I am going to Disneyland next week!!!

That means I need to speed up this trip report... I will probably do several posts today and start and finish day 3... I hope!!

WE left the Halloween Party at the very end so by the time we got back to our motel room it was about 12:45am. We pretty much immediately fell asleep. My sleep tracker says I went to sleep at 1:13 am and woke up at 5:20 am! Only 4 hours of sleep!

We got up, showered and went to catch our free waffles. We then hiked our way to the park and got in line probably around 7:30 as it was a MM and we would not be allowed to enter till 8am.

This time when we entered we went to Tomorrowland first. I grabbed fastpasses for Buzz Lightyear and then we rode Astro Blasters.

I told my friend to take my picture but she did it BEFORE we took off
(I think I was trying to figure out the seatbelt!)
ry%3D400

My friend flying...
ry%3D400

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

After Astro Orbitor the wait for Buzz was only about 5 minutes so we hopped in line.

ry%3D400

get-attachment.aspx

These were not our real scores! Not sure what happened there...

And when we got off Buzz the line was still short so we rode it again!
get-attachment.aspx

After we had rode it twice I went to grab FP for Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy and then we watched Captain EO. I thought it was pretty funny! I would only watch it once though...

Next up was a visit to Toon Town.
ry%3D400

1st up was Minnie's House and meeting Minnie!
ry%3D400

ry%3D400

Minnie had her Dishwasher going...
ry%3D400

She was also checking her e-mail.. busy lady Minnie is!
ry%3D400

After Minnies we past by Mickey's cause the line was HUGE and headed to check out Chip & Dale's
ry%3D400

It was a little cramped!
ry%3D400

A picture of me taking a picture...
ry%3D400

Then we went on Gadget's Go Coaster.. It had just opened so we were able to ride it with NO wait.

We then checked out some of the cars around Toon Town. (Which resulted in us getting our bums wet since it had been a rainy morning.)

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

Laughing cause I just sat in a puddle!

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

We then came accross Goofy! And we got LUCKY... they closed off the line right after us!

ry%3D400

Evidence of sitting in a puddle...

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

She didn't want to sit in more water!
ry%3D400

After our time in Toon Town we took the train back around to mainstreet so we could head over to DCA....

This will be continued in the next post as I tried to use too many pictures!

When we got to DCA it was 10am and the park had just opened. We were going to ride TSMM again but the line was just TOO long already so we passed and headed to California Screamin instead.

ry%3D400

And then a spin on the carousel
ry%3D400

From here I got us lost trying to figure out where we would get into the theatre for Aladdin. I thought we would be able to do Monsters Inc and Muppets 3-D but turns out I just added a whole lot more walking! But we did find Pluto!

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

We eventually rode Monsters Inc with no wait and just had to wait a few minutes for Muppets 3-D
ry%3D400

After this we headed back around and through Bugs Land to get in line for Aladdin. (I didn't realize how many seats were in the theater and we probably wouldn't have had to wait to long!)

Love the bathroom signs in Bugs Land
ry%3D400

ry%3D400

I LOVED ALADDIN! My friend fell asleep! :confused3

Obviously the next thing we were doing was going back to the room to take a nap...

Great pictures!! Especially Captain Jack!! Yummy!! Although I think Tigger is pretty hot!!

Captain Jack was cute and a lot of fun!!! I loved how interactive he was! One of the groups ahead of us had a light saber and so he was acting confused as to what it was... it was really cute

Tigger was more fun that Winnie was.. Winnie was not very interactive.. I like the Tigger I met when I was there solo as well. That Tigger is the one on my Facebook Profile Pic.

I think that maybe the Pooh costume isn't as easy to move around in. I know when my kids have done the meet and greet with the Pooh characters that Tigger is always the best. I have great video of Tigger goofing off in my camera lens.

Yeah that could be true... The Winnie in WDW was a little more animated though... the first day we were there our first reservation was at Crystal Palace and since my hubby and I were celebrating our anniversary they had made a heart out of Mickey graffiti on the table.. When Winnie came he made a heart with his hands and was pretty expressive..

Oh that is wonderful!! Maybe I am just biased about Pooh because I am not a major fan.:confused3
