I have several questions, so thanks in advance for your awesomeness!

1) Is there a chance there will be free dining in March? That would be better for us to go, but I'll book for November if I have to.

2) Why is there a $60 difference in ASMu and ASMo? ASMo is more expensive, and I can't figure out why.

3) Our group is me, DH, DD(3) and DD(13), we were planning on the quick serve meal plan, and then eating at a character experience (breakfast?) and one family dinner ADR. What do you suggest?

4) If I book now for November and the FD deal comes out for March, can I take my deposit/payments and move it to March? We'd be a lot better off if we saved extra for souveneirs and such, but looking at the prices its about $1000 cheaper to go during FD in November. (1865 vs 2800) Plus that includes meals!!

Thanks!

I don't know about the deposits and such because we always do a room-only discount for our visits. My guess if you are pricing the same level room at both is maybe because Movies just had a refurbed? We really like the theme there better than Music.

My pick for a family dinner would be Ohana. Never done a breakfast but my choice would be Akershus at Epcot or CRT at MK since you have 2 girls.

Also, I love going at Xmas time and if the dates in Nov. would work-out that would be my choice.

Happy Planning!

Mousesavers has historical information on previous years' resort discounts. You can look at them to see if FD is typically offered for your preferred dates:

http://www.mousesavers.com/historicalwdwdiscounts.html

If you book a vacation package and another discount comes along you can ask that your current package be changed to take advantage of that discount, provided there is still availability. However any changes to a reservation less than 45 days from the start of the vacation could result in additional charges to make those changes. Especially if it results in a reduction in costs. Since you will also be flying, then you may face the problem of airline tickets that you can't cancel, too.

I didn't take the time to look at the historic discounts, so I don't know if FD is offered in March. You already know that the room rates will be significantly higher in March. So will the price of air travel. Also, the parks will almost definitely be much more crowded. (I'm assuming that your November trip would avoid the American Thanksgiving.) The savings you get by going in Nov would pay for a lot of "souvenirs and such", no?
