My husband and I are going on a 10-day trip starting September 30, 2022, staying on property for early entry, with park hopper & genie plus every day. We have reservations to attend each park twice. We will also purchase individual lightening lane for eligible rides. We only plan to watch the firework show once by attending the firework dessert party.

We will not attend parades, shows, or certain rides for children (ex: mad tea cup). I do not plan on attending any halloween events at disney world. This is my first visit to Disneyworld and my husband’s second (his last trip was in 2011). Our plan and priority are to ride the ones listed below. As a first timer all of this is overwhelming and any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank You in Advance.

Based on our trip details I have four questions:

Is it better to stack or not? I have heard a lot about stacking, but not the alternative.

For each park, If I purchase ILL, what rides should I go on at early entry. What rides should I stack LL.

If I stack LL for the afternoon, what time should I schedule dinner? I was planning on eating at 7:30pm at table service restaurants.

Is Early entry different than rope drop? In my research it appears that it is, but sometimes the term seems to be used interchangeably.

You'll get lots of good advice out here, I'm sure. Something you should be aware of (and you might already know) is that Disney has moved 4 attractions from ILL to Genie+, but only currently through Aug 7th (Exp Everest, MMRR, Frozen Ever After, and Space Mountain. Since some of these are on your wish list, you'll want to keep an eye open to see if that changes or becomes permanent by the time you go. It could potentially change your ILL/G+ strategy.

In my opinion, early entry for resort guests has become the new 'rope drop'. Rope drop for non-resort guests isn't what it used to be, since hundreds of guests have already entered.

1. You may wish to stack if there are days that you plan to arrive later in the day. If going early then you can choose to stack or, use and get new. Both are good options.

3. Eating at the time you wish is great except for nights you may wish to do fireworks. Also, depending on where you're dining, you may find you're finished eating at the same time the park you're in/near is closing which could greatly affect transportation. Just something to consider.

4. I would agree with @thanxfornoticin that ETPE is the new 'rope drop'.

I would recommend reading information and links in this thread as it's a great jumping off point: Planning Tips for Your Disney Trip - Start Here!!!
