I just read something about these.

Is this something that is still available? Where do we get them? This'll be the kids first time visiting Disneyland.

Also, is there a pin or something for birthdays?

Thanks. :)

You can get them at Guest Services as you enter the parks. Yes you can get them for birthdays too!

There are also pins for Anniversaries and Family Reunions...and maybe some others?

You also often times can get them at the ticket booth, some of the shops, Disney property hotels, and we were even given one by a ride attendent once.

Yes!

It's easiest to get them at Guest Services right as you enter the park. However, they are on a 1st come, 1st served basis (at least when I was last there) and I've been told they run out early- especially during the busy months.

I was able to get a 1st visit button for my son and sent him back to my hubbie outside. They I sneaked back in and got one for his birthday that was just a couple months away. Which I surprised him with at his Mickey themed bday party and told him Mickey Mouse had mailed it from Dland especially for him....he still talks about it and sometimes wears it around the house. Too cute!!

can you wear more than 1 button? or should i say will they give you more than 1?

this november will be our 1st trip to disneyLAND, AND my dd's 11th bday will fall on thanksgiving this year. i think it would be cool for her to have 1st time and bday buttons!! :cool1:

thanks a bunch!!

I've seen people with 3 or 4 different ones, perhaps collected over their trip. For example if its your birthday and first visit that is two right there.

I got 2, one for my son's 1st visit and another for his bday a few months away. However, he only wore the 1st visit one and I surprised him with the bday button later. Mickey sent it special! :thumbsup2

dumb question, but I take it guest services is right by the entrance and will be easy to find? I really want my kids to get a button! :cool1:

Last time I was there they had different ones like birthday, anniversary, first time, and they even gave me an honorary citizen button. City Hall on Main Street has these buttons. Go in at any time and ask for one. And many stores in the parks also have them. Just go to the counter and ask. Oh and if you dont know about something else that is kind of cool...

If you go into City Hall and you want to exchange a dollar.. ask for a "Disney Dollar". Its like real money you can use within the park at any store or restaurant, and it has Disney Characters on the front. These dollars have dollar values. So if you gave a $5 bill you can get a $5 Disney dollar, or five $1 Disney Dollars. Its a neat souvenir too.

I didn't know about these pins thanks for the info!
Our first time will be in June. Quick question though
What's the point of these buttons? Are they just souvenirs or
Do you get special privilages? Thanks.

They also have graduation buttons.

You can also ask at any store to see if they have any. A Cast Member at the pin store (can't think of the name) in DCA asked if we were celebrating anything and gave my little one a First Visit button. They were also passing out Honorary Citizen buttons early in the morning at DCA. :)

Just for fun. When the CMs see you in line they will often give you a special greeting. :goodvibes

Guest Services is to the left of the entrance to DL. :thumbsup2 That is where we get our buttons.

If you are staying at the PPH, they will most likely have the birthday buttons behind the front desk when you check in. I wouldn't be surprised if they had the 1st Visit buttons there as well. It might be good to get them there to avoid a potential line at Guest Services or City Hall. But picking up a b-day button from City Hall, of course, will get you a birthday "phone call" from Goofy.

They also have a general "I'm Celebrating" pin. It's cool to wear the pins and see all the attention you get from CM and everyday people and nice to collect. And I've seen people wear more than one. My last visit my friend wore a birthday and volunteer one at same time. And I got an volunteer pin myself since we were selected for the pre-show cavalcade before the parade way fun. :)

So we are arriving the day before the rest of the family in June...do you think we could get 20 "Family Reunion" buttons from Guest services? I'd like to have them when everyone arrives on Friday.
