I don't find the appeal of staying at a monorail resort. The monorail only goes to the Magic Kingdom and Epcot, so you still have to take a bus or drive to Disney's Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom.
I prefer moderate resorts with nice theming. Coronado Springs, for example.
