we are renting points to stay at a 2 br boardwalk villa from jan 15th until jan 20th. no problem renting points. 1st time staying at the bwv - how do we know what is a good room to get - we are paying for a preferred view room. i saw members writing about where their room was compared to the elevators -- is this an issue? we are traveling with 3 small children. also, we have 3 small boys and a 14 year old girl. she does not want to sleep with any of the boys --- does anyone know if the boardwalk would rent or give us a cot for our 2 br villa???? any advise would be helpful. Thanks--linda

None of the DVC resorts have cots available, but with a 2 bedroom, you will have a bed and pull out couch in one bedroom and a hide-a-bed sofa in the living room, so if the three boys can share the 2nd bedroom, she would probably enjoy the living room to herself! We have not stayed at the BWV, but I understand some of the rooms are a hike from the elevators. Not sure if this is an issue or not, since at Disney, you walk a lot anyway.

Here is a link with some room reports and it will give you some view comments. http://members.aol.com/InstImpres/boardwalk.pdf Asking for a specific room and getting it is slim but this may help you know if the room assigned at check-in will meet your needs. This will give you an idea of “sectional views”.

The files are in adobe acrobat and which can be downloaded from this site for free:

Happy travels

P.S. I update the chart once or twice a month based on reports I receive so you may want to check back closer to when you leave.

They are all good rooms. When staying at any hotel you usually don't get to select the exact room you are staying in. Some are better than others based on individual preferences. For example I like first floor quiet pool rooms more than Boardwalk view. Others would say I was crazy and that Boardwalk view is the best.

If you want everyone to have their own bed, bring an aero bed. We have four children and bring one on every trip we take.
