1st time price bridging to AP from UCT ticket?

I've never price bridged before so please excuse my lack of knowledge.......

With today's price increase can someone help me understand the best ticket to buy from Undercover Tourist to get the best discount on my Annual Pass?

I know I have to use the ticket before I can do the switch. Thanks to anyone who can help!

Just pick any UT ticket with a good discount, that has a GATE PRICE (Disney Price) that is the same or less than the GATE PRICE of the AP.

Example with totally made up prices:

AP, GATE price: $100 (including tax.)
6 day Hopper, GATE price: $80 (including tax.)
6 day Hopper, UT price: $70 (including tac.)

After using the UT to enter a theme park one time-
Price to upgrade to AP from UT ticket, $20 (plus tax.)

We chose the 6 day PH with WPF&M and NE option, because it is $65 off the gate price. With the way the tickets increased, this ticket went up more than an AP so it looks like we will end up saving closer to $80 on the AP.

It would appear that the MYW ticket with park hopping and water park fun & more, no expiration is still the best. UT's price for that ticket is 577 (slightly less if using Mousesavers newsletter UT code). It is listed at 65 savings over Disney ticket price (old pricing). With new pricing from yesterday, that ticket bridges to 649. AP price is now 675. So, as long as you can still buy the current UT tickets (they will go pretty fast now), your end savings would be 72. (if my math is correct)

Ok, I went with the 6-day no-expire park hopper. I think that gives me a discount of around $70, so I'm pretty excited about that. The 7-day was a slightly larger discount from UCT, but the gate price was the exact same as the AP & I worried that might cause a problem when I went to bridge the ticket.

Did you get it with the water parks and more option? That gives you the largest discount. YOu would not use any of those options, but when you do the bridge, that will give you the best discount. If you already purchased, and want the best discount, email UT back and explain what you want.
