1st time on our own some advice please.

I know this our 4th trip but its our first time without an airport guide and Im a little lost.
We have our seats guaranteed through the British Airways special assistance team so are there any benefits to online check in or twilight check in??

Online check in - Do we still have to be at airport 3 hours before? If not when do we have to be at the airport? Also as everyone does online check in wont we encounter a huge queue for luggage drop??

Twilight check in - Do we check luggage in at this point too or do we join a seperate line for luggage drop in the morning??

Basically Im looking for advise on the easiest way to check in ourselves and our luggage and an idiots guide on how to do it!!

We nevr do online check in, alwasy do twilight check in with virgin.

At twilight checkin you hand all your luggage over when you check in and get boarding passes etc, then morning of flight you just go straight through security. If you needed to check in any more luggage then you would need to queue at check in again.

What we do is wear old clothes the night before and take almost empty toiletries and then we bin everything so that we don't have to carry dirty clothes on the plane with us

We usually get to the airport a couple of hours before the flight just to make sure we get through security ok, and also that we are so excited
