We are planning a trip for the first week of April. It is the week of my wife's birthday and she wants to check out the flower and garden festival. We have never been there for F&G so I was wondering, is this only at Epcot or do the resorts and other areas of Disney get involved? Epcot is our least favorite park so I'm not sure if it's worth the price of admission if that's the only place to see stuff. We have a 5yr old daughter with us that also loves flowers as well so we are just trying get a gameplan together. Thanks for any information that you can offer.

I'm pretty sure it's only Epcot. But I could be wrong as I've only ever been to it once.

Flower and Garden is only at Epcot.

F&G Festival is only at Epcot. There are lots of topiaries of Disney characters, the butterfly house and a playground that your daughter might enjoy. Last year was the first time they had a mini version of F&W with kiosks featuring food and beverages. It has already been announced that the kiosks will be back this year. There's a free "passport" that you can pick up and have stamped at the various kiosks and activity/fun spots.

The F&G Festival is only at Epcot and they turn it into a veritable 'feast' for the eyes!

We have gone mid/late April for the last several years and it is our favorite time to be there. We love gardening and flowers and it is a show like none other.
There is always a beautiful butterfly area also - children love it, as well as adults.

Epcot is our favorite park for several reasons, but suppose it's not for everyone, especially if you aren't into beautiful landscaping/flowers.

WDW has "upped" the F&GF, with kiosks and offerings previously only available during the F&WF.
i go to both festivals every year, and the F&GF is definitively my favorite of the two:
- better weather (late april/early may) with less rain, and temps more consistent (low 80's)
- lower crowds

and the biggie:
much better musical offerings in the "flower power concerts", with people we have actually heard of (as one CM reasoned: guests are less inebriated at the F&GF, so it makes sense to have the better/well-known performers there:)).

if your wife enjoys gardening, check out some of the seminars offered - HGTV "celebrities" host weekend seminars.

We'll be there at the start and are really looking forward to the topiaries!

Awesome link! Thanks for sharing it! We've been to F&G before but it was about 5 years ago. It seems like they've made some improvements since then! Or maybe we just were zooming through Epcot too quickly on our 1/2 day there to notice everything? Either way, now I'm excited to see it all!

F&G is only at Epcot. We really enjoy it. At the end, especially, the park really smells amazing with all of the flowers.

Even if you don't enjoy Epcot other times of year, you will enjoy the F&GF!

While we've never gone specifically for it, we've overlapped with the F&GF several times -- always beautiful, but the addition of the special food kiosks last year was the best!!

If you are using Park Hoppers, it will be worth it for a few hours to make up your own minds.

Bet you have a blast -- and your DD will love the butterfly garden!

I've been to the F&G show for the last few years because that is the time we can go to WDW. We love Epcot, so we usually spend a lot of time there. We're not there to do the flower things, but we enjoy spending some time looking at the displays. However, I doubt my kids even know there is a special event going on. Last year, we really enjoyed the food kiosks and had a lot of fun tasting things. It was much less crazy than when we did the F&W.

I agree with the previous poster about the concerts too. Last year we saw Chubby Checker (I had no idea he was still alive, let alone performing!) and The Guess Who (I was the recipient of a guitar pick!!). Very fun both nights.

I'm going with a friend of mine in April. We are leaving all our kids at home and having a girls trip. Anyway I'm so excited to check this out! It'll be my first time to see all of this!

I read the Village People will be performing! But I couldn't find any dates of that. I hope it's while I'm there!
