1st time flying..SW no tickets????

We leave next Tuesday and are flying out of Philly on SW. My ? is...do I get our tickets and luggage tags once we get to the airport? I'm really confused about how it works!

I assume that you booked your tickets online. I always just print my itinerary that Southwest emails me. I also print my boarding passes online. They have actually never asked to see a paper ticket. Remember that you have to print your boarding passes 24 hours before your flight leaves.
As for luggage tags, I just use ones that I have at home. And then put extra ones on at the airport. I usually keep a couple to put on for the return trip. I also put a lggage tag inside my bag, as you never know if the 5 luggage tags that i put outside might get disconnected.

You will need to go on the SW website 24 hours prior to your flight to print your boarding passes. Try to do it as close to the 24 hour mark as possible so you get in the "A" group to board first after the pre-boarders. Each passenger will require a boarding pass.

Luggage tags will be on the counter where you check in. You can grab them and fill them out while waiting in line. You can check in either with the Sky Caps outside the departure terminal or inside at the SW counters. We prefer the convenience of the Sky Caps but don't forget to tip them (generally $1-$2 per bag). I accidently forgot to tip the Sky Cap on a business trip one time and my luggage was lost. I can't prove anything but it was the only time I lost my luggage and I fly relatively frequently. I would err on the side of caution.

You can also buy your own luggage tags. Since this is your first time, I would check out SW website before hand to make it easier the day you need to print your boarding passes.

I just realized you are from Alburtis. I grew up in Hamburg and I have cousins who live in Alburtis!

THANKS for your help! Yes I booked online using DING and got round trip airfare for all 4 of us for a grand total of....$368.40!!!! AMZING! We live right on Main st. in Alburtis and love it here. We've lived here 5 years...it's so nice to live in a small town and be able to walk to school, post office, pizza shop etc.
