We will be going in August for 8 nights and staying the first 4 nights at Kidani and the last 4 nights at BLT. We will not have a car and have never changed resorts mid-trip. Can someone please help us with the specifics of the best way to do this with regards to moving our luggage. Also, what to do with refridgerated items? Thank you.

On move day:
Call Bell Services and have them come pick-up your luggage and refridgerated items. Be sure to inform them that you have items to keep cold.
Tell them where you are transfering too.
Checkin to your new resort.
Go do whatever you want that day.
After getting your room and you are back in it (items are not at your new resort until 2 - 4 PM), call Bell Services to have the item delivered to your room.
NOTE: You must be in the room for the pick-up and delivery.

We do split stays all the time. I've often done exactly what the above poster suggested. But, for us it was easiest when we just hopped in a cab with our belongings and checked in to the next resort. If your room isn't ready bell services will hold your bags and keep your items cold for you if needed. Actually the easiest is when we have a rental car or our own car there. ;)
The reason why I feel this way is because if my room happens to be ready at check in (it always has been even with 10am check ins!) then I want to have my bags right away. One time when we stayed at SSR, or bags didn't arrive from our previous resort until 6pm!

HA! . . . We're doing a 4/4 BLT/Kidani in July! We have done split stays before, and as others have said, Bell Services can handle everything. I would suggest that you hang onto your grocery bags and/or boxes, as it will make it easier for them to store and transfer your groceries. We have even considered taking the cloth reusable grocery bags with us this summer to make grocery transfer easier. I would just leave a couple in our OL.

If you have items that you don't want Bell Services to handle (computers, etc), you could try taking them yourself to Kidani and checking those items there. We transferred from Kidani to BLT a couple of trips ago and took a cab with our sensitive items. It was about $20 one way. Luckily, our BLT room was ready when we got there, so we were able to take those things to the room.

Would you recommend we check-in online from home for our 2nd resort also or just check in when we arrive at the 2nd resort mid-week? Or does it not really matter?
