We (wife, kids (7&9) and I) are doing the 3 day cruise in Febuary (our first cruise). Should I worry about arranging onboard activities and shore excursions prior to sailing or figure it all out once onboard? How quickly do things like good shore excursions or Kid's activites fill up? Are there some where you must make prior arrangements to have a chance of getting in?

I'm really into making it easy and not having to rush or worry about missing something once I'm on vacation.

Thanks

You will get varying opinions here but I think everything can be booked with no trouble whatsoever on board the ship. I see no reason to book excursions, etc before leaving for the cruise, especially since your cruise is in February.

We were on the 3 day in May. May is typically very busy. We booked nothing in advance and still got everything we wanted. Everyone told us to book the dophin excursion(supposedly very popular) before we left and that no openings would be available once we boarded, when in fact they were encouraging people to book the encounter the day of the excursion because it wasn't anywhere near full. I guess they wanted to make as much money as possible. Signing up for spa treatments, etc were just as easy and painless.

You can book shore excursions offered through Disney 60 days in advance of sailing. Some that have limited availability book up fast, so if there is something that they offer that catches your eye, you should book in advance. These excursions would be like the fishing or parasailing offered at CC.

You are not able to make spa or Palo ressies until you have boarded...
