My future wife and I have just booked our honeymoon - first, a 4-day cruise aboard the Wonder (embarking August 22, 2004) to be followed by a 7-day stay at the Boardwalk Inn.

We're both very excited - I've already read through every word of the brochures given to us by our travel agent - however, I'm the type who needs to know more than can be provided in the brochures.

I'm hoping that some of you will send along some helpful tips or advise for first-time cruisers. I will also continue to scour through all the other postings to learn as much as I can before we sail.

Thanks in advance!

Congrats and welome to the disboards. To find out all sorts of info go to dcltribute.com and castawayclub.com. They have menus, navigators, etc. Also checkout wdwig.com for the magical cruise guide, which gives a great written overview of the cruise process. And most importantly, continue to post and check here. The info on this board is amazing.

Thanks so very much for the listing of other web sites to try! I'll be checking them out for more info.

My fiance just told me: "you're obsessed!! Our honeymoon isn't until August!! You're going to be on information overload!!" - well, I can't help it.

Thanks again!

please note wdwig.com has changed recently to allearsnet.com.

Don't forget passporter.com if you want hard copy guide books.

Happy Honeymoon

you will have a fabulous time! We have cruised twice both a 4 day. The first time we cruised was with our almost 2 year old and September 11th happened. Yikes. We loved the Boardwalk and stayed there for 7 days in 2002. You will love the convenince to MGM and Epcot--I loved not having to get on a bus to go to either place.
We also loved the evenings on the boardwalk--always somethng going on. the ESPN is nice to grab a bite to eat and don't miss grabbing breakfast at the bakery and returning to your room! Perhaps breakfast in bed for your bride!:}

Enjoy!

welcome to the DisBoards and congratulations!! You will find SO much info here... don't be afraid to ask anything, that's what friends are for.

As for being "obsessed" now???? tell your fiance to wait until August to see exactly how "obsessed" you'll be...

It's OK to be obsessed about the honeymoon. It gives you something to do.

Just stay out of the way in the planning of the wedding. You will then be able to revisit the issue of "being obsessed".

Rememeber to stay out of the way, and to show up for the wedding at the right place at the right time with the right clothes. Or you can send a mannequin (at the right time/place in the correct clothes) because at the actual wedding you are just a prop;)
