My wife and I will be taking our two small children to Orlando from Thursday, Nov. 21 through Monday, Nov. 25 this year. We are planning on spending either one or two days at WDW and are thinking of spending those days just at the Magic Kingdom. Three quick questions:

1) What would be the single best day to go to the MK to avoid the larger crowds (Friday, Saturday or Sunday)?

2) Do you think two days is too much time at the Magic Kingdom for the little ones? We do plan to go back to the hotel for an afternoon nap, so we won't have the luxury of a true full day at the MK. IF two days is not overdoing it, would a Friday/Sunday combo be better than a Friday/Saturday combo?

3) When does the Magic Kingdom close during this time of year (the weekend prior to Thanksgiving)? Does the Magic Kingdom still have an evening parade with fireworks?

Many thanks in advance!!!!! :p

hi - there's a couple of things to check out first before you decide which days to spend in mk - the first is to check out whether the christmas decorations are up at that time - saturday's are generally less crowded from far away visitors because of it being a travel day - but it's so close to the first weekend of decorations you may find that closer to florida visitors have arrived - but we've been taking out kids since they were 18mos old - and used a couple of these tricks to make the most of our time in wdw - we don't take nap breaks back at the hotel - we find a quiet place in wdw (all parks) and we relax & the kids take a nap - it saves a lot of time - in mk - looking at the front of the castle - there's a path on the left side which is in shade & has a bench and is perfect for a nice rest - in epcot some of the sides of the countries are quiet - two days in mk is what we always do - but we usually go for more than that and break up the days w/trips to epcot - we've always taken the kids to epcot - they love the shows & street theartre players (sometimes still remembering the lines from the shows 5 years later) - you could also use the ride on the monarail over to epcot as a rest time - mk usually closes early so a 2pm nap and getting back to the park may only give you an extra hour or two in mk - but it's also on how excited the kids will get - you really have to work on their activity level -

good luck & enjoy

We spend at least 2 days at MK with your 2 DD's ages 2 and 5. They LOVE it best of all and there's so much to do and see!

I would go there Friday and Sunday and try to avoid Saturday! We've walked right back out on a Saturday it was so bad. Pooh ride Fastpass was a 6 hour later return time!!!!!

You will have a blast!
