Hi, Crissy!!!!We have stayed in several loops and each have had their advantages. This is the opinion of the ones we have stayed in. The first time we stayed in cabin 2530. On this trip we only had 1 DD, but my parents also went with us. We loved this. We were actually within 50 yards of the swimming pool and laundry area. We could actually see the pool from our deck. It was so convenient to be able to walk over, put a load of laundry on and walk right back to the cabin while it was going.
On our second trip we stayed in the 2700 loop. I can't remember the actual cabin number. This trip we had DD/10, DS/3 and DD/1. We were so close to the bus stop that we heard each and every bus come by. Some people would say that this was a bad thing, hearing the buses so close, but it helped us to get up and on our way each morning. There were trees and shrubs separating our cabin from the road, but earlier guests had made a little trail through so if you walked 20 feet, you were at the bus stop. Still very convenient to pool and laundry.
On our last trip we stayed in cabin 2618. This was the quietest of the ones we stayed in. If my memory serves me, this is the first loop as you enter. This loop was so quiet that I actually let my 2yo and 4yo play right outside by themselves(I could still see them). Bus stop is right outside loop entrance and you are still fairly convenient to the pool/laundry area.
The decks on each cabin is big enough for the kids to play on comfortably also. There is also limited traffic on the loops and this makes it convenient for taking a walk with the little ones.
Our family thinks that renting a golf cart is a MUST!!!!We love to just ride around the entire resort enjoying the scenery, meeting other guests, letting the kids play in one of the many playgrounds, going to one of the trading posts for ice cream. We also take our cart to the beach each morning, ride the boat to MK and from there take other transportation to the other parks. MK and Epcot are our favorites so the transportation isn't really an issue for us.
If we haven't eaten when returning from the parks, we either stop at Trails End and eat from their delicious buffet or get a pizza from the Tavern there and carry it back to the cabin.
We also save a lot of money by carrying simple breakfast foods and eating in the cabin each morning before we head out.
Please be sure to take your kids to the petting zoo(it is near Trails End) and also let them enjoy making their own smores at the nightly campfire program(behind the Meadows Trading Post). The Hoop-Dee-Doo review is also good for a good meal and entertainment.
As you can probably tell, FW is our favorite resort. We really don't like to stay anywhere else anymore. We have become spoiled by all the great things and people at FW.
We really hope you find FW to be as much fun as we do!!!!!Have a wonderful vacation!!!!!
