:rotfl: An early start this morning to make sure we have breakfast and are at the park well in advance of opening (as recommened by DISers ;) ).

The hotel operates a time allocation for breakfast and we had been given a voucher the night before for breakfast between 7am-7.30am, we turn up at 7.40am and there is no problem, we still manage to get in.

Breakfast is buffet style and as the previous night an impressive range of foods is available. There is a selection of fruits, i.e fruit cocktail, fruit compote and large dishes of yoghurt to ladle out also. A selection of cereals: special K, choco flakes and cornflakes (all Kelloggs). Onto a selection of meats and cheese for continental breakfast, hard boiled eggs are also available (must admit though, found these hard to eat, they taste very sulphurous). A selection of breads and jams: baguettes, sliced (sourdough style) bread, pain au chocolat and croissants. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, orange juice and apple juice are available through drink dispensers which are placed at various points in the restaurant.

We again enjoy and hearty breakfast and the kids nibble on various different foods, whilst playing with other children in the playarea. We also make a selection of sandwiches to eat at the park for lunch (:rotfl: ooops very naughty stuff).

After breakfast we wait for the coach transfer to the park, and get the bus at 9.00am, the bus isn't too crushed this morning and we all manage to get a seat. The bus also picks up at Explorers hotel on the way, and again not too many people get on board.

We get to the park at 9.15am and make our way to the entrance of the park, there are a few people milling around, making their way also to the park but again it isn't too crushed and we almost walk through security to make our way to the Disneyland hotel and into the park:goodvibes .

Wow, such a beautiful sight once approaching the Disneyland hotel, don't think any pictures do justice to just how beautiful it is. A jazz band welcomes people to the park and gets everyone into a suitable mood. A short queue to get in, as the girls are getting more and more excited and then that's it, we're in and making our way across the square at the bottom of Main street whilst old fashioned cars, mill about honking their horns and the girls want to do everything and see everything straight away. Then they spot it! Sleeping Beauty's castle at the top of Main street and immediately they are awestruck. we make our way up Main Street towards the castle whislt looking at the shops as we go.

A small queue has formed at the Castle ready for ropedrop and we join the queue so that we can go into Fantasyland straight away. Meanwhile hubby makes his way over to Buzzlightyear to see if he can get Fasspass tickets for it, he comes back quite quickly having been unable to get tickets as Buzz Lightyear is closed and they're not sure when it will reopen  .

As soon as rope drop happens we make our way into Fantasyland underneath the castle, what a beautiful sight, all the time having to remind my 5 year old that we have plenty of time to see everything and that the best idea is to make our way to the popular things first. As the throngs make their way to Dumbo and the Carrousel we find ourselves at Peter Pan and having read on here that it is a popular ride we join the small queue immediately. We're in the queue for about 10 mins, and the queue has extended back behind us when I realise that the store for the pushchair isn't close to the queue, hubby decides to leave the queue to find somewhere to store it and can't get back in, so sadly misses the ride. After about 20 mins of queing, in which we are treated to welcoming from Peter Pan and Wendy herself before Captain Hook and his entourage spoil things, we are onto the ride. This is a nice gentle ride to get you into the frame of things, however my 2 year old was scared by the darkness at the beginning of the ride as not much seemed to happen for a while and when it did because she was in the middle of the car she couldn't see over the bar to the scenes below to see what is happening. My 5 year old loved it and wanted to go straight back on until she saw the huge queue that had formed.

We make our way round to It's a Small World, where there is no queue at all and we are able to walk straight onto the ride. This is such a beautiful ride, so beautifully done and renders the girls awestuck throughout the ride. Once off the ride we make our way across to Casey Juniors ride, we queue here for about 20 mins to get on, whilst the sun gets hotter and hotter. This is another good ride and even has enough thrills to make the girls think they've been on the most dangerous ride ever.

Once off the ride we make our way back into the main part of Fantasyland and already it has filled up and there are crowds of people everywhere, by this time it's about 11.15am and we decide to see if we can do Alice's Curious Labrinth, however sadly this is closed too and we can't get into it. We decide to head over to Videopolis to have some lunch and catch The Lion King Show and on the way we are greeted by some of the mice from Cinderella (I think!) and the girls spend some time with them being cuddled and having their photos taken with them, as Belle wanders past on her way across Fantasyland, the girls are in their element.

We make our way into Videopolis and find seats at the side of the seating area so that we have a good view of the show whilst eating our lunch. After a reallllllllly loooonnnnnnng time queing for food (about 25mins) I join hubby and the girls at the table with some 4 chips for everyone and a drink of Sprite, which cost 12.90 Euros, we eat these with the sandwiches we made at breakfast time ( ooops very naughty again). The show is fantastic and is a nice way to enjoy lunch out of the heat in the park, it is slightly spoit though by people who stand right in front of your table without having a care for obstructing other peoples view, so a bit of juggling with the kids happens to make sure they can see the show.

We're out of the show by 1.15 (after a toiletstop) and decide as the park is absolutely heaving to try and do some of the smaller attractions to avoid the huuuggggggge queues, we think a ride on the Railroad would be good, but find out that Discoveryland station is also closed!. So wander around Discoverland to see what is there (must admit this isn't a very pretty land compared to the sweetness of Fantasyland). Little one falls asleep in the pushchair so we make our way back to Fantasyland, which is hard to walk through because there is so many people around. We walk past It's a Small world and even here the queue is huge. We spend some time looking at the sights before getting ready for the Dream Parade. We find a good spot opposite Fantasy Gelati (?) and decide to get some ice creams as it is soooooo hot. Me and DD1 queue for 25 mins, in which time about 3 people in total are served :headache: so decide to give up and get back to watch the parade before it is too late.

The parade starts and immediately DD1 is awestruck (DD2 is still asleep), Daisy Duck comes across and shakes DD1's hand and she is so pleased:goodvibes. There is lots of shoving of people which spoils it slightly however I get to shake Jasmines hand as I try to show DD1 how to hold her hand out to greet the characters. It's a beautiful parade, full of magic and keeps DD1 enthralled throughout.

After the parade has finished we wander back over to It's A Small World, where the queue has disappeared and do the ride again. Hubby stays outside as DD2 is still fast asleep. Once off the ride we go over to Alices Labrinth again which is now open, and DD1 and DD2 (who has finally woken up) have lots of fun exploring. After all this it's about 5.15 and we make our way over to the Storybook Ride, however the queues for this and Casey Jnr are huge and we decide against it. So we make our way over to Adventureland. How I wish I had discovered this earlier in the day when the heat was at it's peak, it's a lovely area for the kids to explore and wandering around the cave area is lovely and cool with all the running water.

At about 6 we decide to call it a day, we're absolutely knackered and our feet are throbbing and our stomachs are calling out to be filled. We make our way over to the DisneyVillage and after looking at the menu at Annettes Diner we decide to go to PlanetHollywood and use the 20% discount voucher we have from the Brits Guide. We are immediately shown to a seat and choose our meals (I had Club Sanwiches, DD2 has the kids pasta, can't remember what hubby and DD1 had), the meal is pleasant enough although I wouldn't say it is special in anyway, and again with our discount we pay about 54 Euros. The one thing I didn't like in here was the photograhper interrupting the meal and posing the kids for photos, then coming back and interrupting to flash numerous photos and keyrings at us.

We spend some time in the Disneyvillage after dinner having a look in the Disneystore and the various different shops, and then sit by the lake outside HNY as the sun starts to set, for some peace and tranquility. We make our way back to the Kyriad, the bus isn't too packed and we settle down for a couple of drinks at the bar before heading to bed, extremley tired and with throbbing feet.

Once again, a huge Trip Report, so well done if you managed to make your way through all of it :rotfl2:

Lovely report, thanks, sounds like it was very, very busy in the parks.

We had very good but very large meals at Planet Hollywood an we really liked it in there but for me too the photographer spoiled it.

Looking forward to part 3 :goodvibes

This makes great reading for me as I am going to the hotel Kyriad on the 14th September. I have a 3yrs old and a 2 yrs old and I cannot wait :cool1:

A brilliant trip report, full of details which I just LOVE reading. Looking forward to lots more! :cool1:

A lovely trip report - look forward to the next instalment :goodvibes

Another lovely day :goodvibes

I agree, the park is sooo beautiful that I don't think any photos do it justice. :cloud9:

Sounds like you had a magical day :)

The show is fantastic and is a nice way to enjoy lunch out of the heat in the park, it is slightly spoit though by people who stand right in front of your table without having a care for obstructing other peoples view, so a bit of juggling with the kids happens to make sure they can see the show.
This is one of the reason why we prefer to watch the show properly as we found it difficult last time to get a table, since many were filled by people who were watching the show rather than pay for food :confused3
Videopolis offers a good alternative rather than missing the show :goodvibes
