Hi there - we have 10:30am ADR's at Chef Mickeys on Sept 18. What can we expect? I know it is noisy. Should we request any specific area or table? Any hot tips for us? Thanks!

Arrive hungry as there is plenty to try. Expect a constant smile on your face. People watch, the kids are amazing while at CM's; lots of joy. Be a kid, hug and dance with the characters, wave the napkin. Don't rush there are 5 characters, give yourself a chance to visit with them all and eat. Smile for the group photo. It is an optional photo, but at least give yourself a chance at a good one to consider.

We only did this character meal and loved it. We were seated in the smaller area on the right. The area to the left is probably more active and central, but no complaints here. We had an 11:20 ADR, plenty of fresh food so don't worry about that.

Hi me ,wife & 2 kids (3-5)will be going on our third trip to disney we've done chef mickey all times & must say it's the best dinning experience of all. The kids just love eating there & food is great & you'll be full when you leave. We love it so much that we do a breakfast & a dinner. Very much recommended!!
:yay:

We ate there last Sept. It was so much fun for the kids and the adults. We had a family next to us celebrating there 40th anniversary, and the characters came over and sang and danced it was alot of fun, as the tables around them joined in also. The food was very good and alot of different choices. Have a great trip!:cool1:

We LOVE CM so much!!! We do it wice every visit, once for Thanksgiving dinner and once for our last meal, a late breakfast, after we chack out before we head home. We have been in all the rooms, all are great. I can't think of anything to tell you but to take your time, eat!!! (so much yummy stuff), and enjoy the characters. I can't rememb erif you said you have kids, but I have to tell you whether you do or not you will have fun, but if you do, watch your kids, they will be in Disney heaven!!! Take lots of photos for sure. I am so excited for you, there is nothing like the first time! I posted this story on a thread I started about the first time we took then dd3 (now almost 14) there for the first time. It is my favorite Disney memory of her and still brings tears to my eyes, if you want to check it out...

I think it will give you an idea of why we love CM so much, and I bet you will too!!! Have Fun!!!!!!

Chef Mickey's is the best! We actually took my son for his high school graduation and he loved it too! The food was great! I mean come on Mickey and Krispy Kreme donuts in the same room! I was in Heaven. :cloud9: The whole food bar was great. The character interaction was incredible! As far as the noise, I worried about it when I made the reservation but when we got there you don't even notice it. I will definately go back and recommend it for all ages! :cheer2:

We went last December & had a blast. The kids enjoyed all the characters -- they even waved when we were sitting down waiting for our table (and my DD, who was dressed up like Minnie, got a hug from Mickey as he walked by). Food was yummy, plenty for even my picky kids to eat.

We definitely had a wait, but that was ok. And the picture was good -- they took a picture with our camera, too, and that picture was cute enough that we didn't buy the $25 package.

Hi,
Had a couple of friends of friends go in the last few weeks. They said that that area was under such construction they were unable to enjoy their experience. I would call and see how the work is progressing. Maybe they will be done by then, but as of last week it was loud and busy. Good Luck

Warning: We were just there last week. They are doing jack hammering on the Contemporary and you can hear it all over. The food, for lunch, was also marginal, compared to our visit there two years ago. The only good thing about it is the character visits, which are worth it for DS11 and DD9. The construction makes it rather unpleasant.

:sad2: We will be eating there for dinner on the 10th. Hopefully they will be done working for the day by our 6:35 ressies. :snooty:

i went twice last week, they did no jackhammering or noise of any kind during meal time. while we sat and waited for them to open for dinner it was quite loud, but they ended it right at 5:00 so everyone could enjoy their meal.
they are quite aware of how much people are paying for the meal and they are very sensative to it.

We have never eaten at CM but ended up grabbing two different breakfast ADR's during our upcoming trip (one on a MK day and one on an Epcot day) so we are excited! :goodvibes It sounds like a really fun place! :thumbsup2

thank you all - this is great info! I plan on calling the resort the day before to check on the construction.

We ahve ressies for our 1st night I am so excited. But nw I am even more excited after reading yalls posts. I just can't wait. I think I am off to order that Minnie costume Thanks.

We are going for the first time in Nov. We have a 10:20 am adr. It will be our last meal before we leave. I am hoping it will be a good send off - though it will probably make me sad that we are leaving.

We have CM breakfast reservations twice this upcoming trip (could not get dinner, didn't really want the lunch). Do you think there is enough variety that eating there twice (a day in between visits) won't be "ho-hum"? TIA! :flower3:
