I am planning a March 18, 2006 custom wedding (about 40 people) at Disney. We tentatively have Seabreeze Pointe reserved for the ceremony and California Grill reserved for the dinner/reception. My mom and I are going down to Disney in 3 weeks for our first site visit. I am going to check out the sites to make sure that they are what we want. We also have an appointment at Franck's to meet with a sales rep.

My question is what should be expecting? What should I be looking for? Any and all tips/suggestions are welcome!

Thanks in advance,
Heidi :)

hi heidi! we're getting married at the yacht club, custom wedding for 55 on march 21st 2006! so we'll be at wdw at the same time, we should compare notes as the day draws near. arent you excited! i can hardly wait.

we did our site visit about a year ago. we met with a sales manager at the wedding pavilion & then drove together to the yacht club to view the gazebo, marthas vineyard & ariels at the beach club & then a few dessert party locations at epcot. we were able to take pictures & discuss the venues like how seating would work, how many people the site can accomodate. we then went back to the wedding pavilion & discussed our tentative plans, some options & received a packet of wedding information regarding basic prices for the venues & guest details.

our locations (yacht club gazebo, martha's vineyard, ariels, french island dp)are confirmed for our march wedding due to the site, which is such a relief. we are going on our planning & tasting session this november to confirm flowers, food, etc. we also have booked our welcome dinner at the rainforest cafe at downtown disney for march 19th, this worked for the vibe we wanted & price. we are still deciding on a rehearsal dinner location.

martha's vineyard is a lounge/bar area at the beach club resort next to ariels. we are using it as our prereception. i have 2 pictures, it has a red decor & rattan style chairs.
