1st Pre Trip report, I just can't stop myself!

This so much fun to read... all of the anticipation and how you are going to surprise your DD! It is getting so close, soon you'll be in the single digits!

It is now the single digit dance!!!!

9 Days till we leave!!! And the secret has been kept! I can't believe it. I still have to survive Easter with my family, which is always fun! But woo hoo 9 Days. List of things to do:
1.)Finish Packing
2.)buy sun tan lotion for care packages
3.)buy disney movie for care package
4.)saw a great idea for having characters autograph a photo matte instead of autograph book, going to go check prices for that.
5.)Put together the care packages and hide them
6) shop for snacks for car
7.) make sure there is enough pet food for the cat and dog (so my brother doesn't starve them)
8.) actually try to sleep at night because I am sooo excited!

Awww, seeing your "to do" list makes me remember the excitment of leading up to departure day!! You are going to have such a great time! And single digits now!!!

Just got back from lunch and stopped at a store to try to take care of some things on my list... I ended up adding to it!

I didn't get the matte but might go back and get 2 one for each. I ended up getting another window gel decal - camp rock for the car, a bag for DD to carry her stuff in, and the Lilo and Stitch Movie - the new release of it.

Was going to get the sunblock but might go to dollar store for that.

So if I keep spending money does that make the trip come faster???

8 Days!!! Of course my brother almost spilled the beans at my moms last night! And I think she pretty much knows now. Basically my DD was in the other room reading for school and my brother was talking about DN saying that she should not bring her cell phone in the parks and I hit him very hard! My DD didn't make any comments, but a few minutes later she yelled that she has very good hearing. So I tried to cover it up, by saying that we were talking about Carowinds (the park we are going to when we get to my dads on the way back) But I am not sure if it worked or not.

My family just doesn't know how to keep their mouths closed!!!! I pray that it is still some what of a surprise for her. Luckily she will be at her dads for Easter, so no need to babysit the family on Sunday.

Oh no! I hope your daughter didn't hear it. But regardless she's probably still surprised even if she has an idea now. She may know you're going but not when.

And yes if you keep spending money, it will come faster!!

Good grief!! Your brother just about did it! You are going to get the medal of secrecy if you can make it for 8 more days! Surprises are so much fun and yet so hard to keep, especially when everyone but the one knows! Keep hanging in there!

1 week from today I will be packing the car and going to get the girls from school so we can start our adventure!

I just need to survive the week!

Found some great stuff today! High school musical anti bacterial stuff! Great for the care packages. Finished them! Got my DN a Beach Towel for the pool! Got them some jewelry making stuff for the car ride, thought it would be a nice thing for them to do while I was driving! I did end up getting some picture frame and matte to autograph! I hope they will like it. Now I just have to get snacks for the car and I am good to go!!!!

it is the 6 day dance! only 4 more days of work till I get to leave!

Only 4 days till we leave!!! I am so excited. I was able to get most of the snacks for the car ride this weekend. Just waiting on fresh fruit. Then we will be all set! Friday can't come fast enough!

I think I am most excited about the look on my DD's face when she completes the Hang man and realizes we are heading back to the Happiest place on Earth! Then I can't wait to ride Space mountain before they close it for refurb.

I haven't been able to concentrate at work at all!

3 more days till we leave! Of course yesterday I spent more money, I bought a lap tray for the car for DD. I am sleeping less and less at night. I am going to be driving on pure adrenaline Friday and Saturday!

I still have to do:
Laundry
make ice for cooler
buy fruit
pack overnight bag for first night at my dads
get a pedicure
keep my secret 3 more days!

You are getting so close!!! Make sure you take tons of pictures so you can show us everything you did.
Do you know what exactly they are doing to Space Mountain?
Ride the TTA too before they close that. I love that ride, not sure why, maybe it is just nice to relax up there??? I think maybe I feel like we can soak up the magic of Disney as we glide around the track...

I plan on taking a million pictures! I also got the pre order photopass deal! So I should have a ton of pics for a trip report!

I am not sure what they are doing to Space Mountain, and TTA is definitely on my radar for that first night! I love the people mover, it was one of my first rides the first time I went.

So I saw a few threads asking what the first ride is you go on when you get to Disney. My first ride is always the Carousel of Progress. That is the first ride I went on in 3rd grade when my parents took us. And it has always been the first ride when I have gone since. Although Saturday will be the first night we are there, Sunday will be the official first full day and Carousel of Progress will be our first ride!

You are smart to get the photopass deal! We ended up with 118 pictures! I drove my family crazy with saying ooo, look another photo pass photographer, let's go! I think they were ready to string me up by the end of our vacation!
Can you believe we have never been on CoP??!! I didn't even know what it was until after our trip. Next time, right?!
We've only been to Disney 2 times as a family (I went way back when I was in 4th grade) and we stayed at the BWV's so our first thing to do was walk over the International Gateway into Epcot. We would just wander around and be amazed that we were in Disney. I am sighing right now thinking of it!

well I am happy to say 2 days until we leave!

COP is a corny ride, but for me it brings back great memories. I get teary eyed just thinking about it.

I have been to Disney I think 8 times, but this will by my DD's 3rd time. I took her when she was 5, then last October we did Land and Sea so we were rushed with only 3 days in the parks. This time should be much better, instead of 2 parks a day, we will be doing 1 park a day, so hopefully more relaxed. There are a few things I haven't made it too, that I am dying to go on. Soaring and Test track. Can you believe I haven't been on these. You always miss something at Disney, which gives you a better reason to come back again!
