I can't decide which is better crowd and weather wise . . . the 1st or 2nd week in May. :confused3

Any May gurus out there? :earsgirl:

I have gone both these weeks and did not fine much difference in crowds and/or weather. Not very crowded and the weather was fantastic 80's and not humid.

The weekend of Mothers day there were more people at the parks, still very managable, seemed like most families had young kids

Three years ago we went the second week of May and purchased an annual pass, second year we went the first week of May to get in that last trip BEFORE they expire (mom purchased her annual pass on this trip). We went the last week april this year (before Mom's ap expired). and HATED IT. It was very crowded. going back to May

We go every year in April or May. The closer you get to Memorial Day, the busier it gets as more schools on traditional schedules are out. On the front end, you want to pay attention to when Easter is. If you get past about 10 days after Easter, the crowds from that are pretty well gone. I haven't noticed Mother's Day making any real impact on crowds.

Easter this year is late - April 23rd. That's still a full week before the first week in May, but if you arrive that weekend before the 1st you may still encounter some crowds from those who arrived on Easter weekend and stayed over. The second week might be slightly less crowded, but either one should be just fine.
