I heard that for your wedding night, you get a complimentary room at any Disney resort. Where did everyone stay at? Is there any resort that does extra special stuff for newlyweds?

You get a complimentary wedding night if you have a custom wedding and meet your room night requirement. We stayed at the BWI, we were lucky enough to get upgraded to a Garden Suite. It was so romantic!

We had an intimate wedding and 4 days at POFQ were included in the price and they did not even acknowledge that we got married and they would not even give us the king size bed we were told we would have. I guess it all depends on who checks you in and what they want to do.

Luvtgr, we had exactly the same experience, we checked into Port Orleans Riverside and the check in lady couldn't give two hoots that it was our wedding and honeymoon. I ask for a king bed room (which like you had been told we could have) but she wanted to charge us something like an extra $15 per night for it.

Think it just like you say depends on who you get and how lucky you are.

we stayed at the GF. i loved it there. i just wish we got to stay there for the rest of the trip. our room was beatiful and though we didn't have much of a view, it was still wonderful to be there with my newly appointed husband.

We were upgraded to a suite at the Yacht Club. Do note, as previously stated, that this is for Custom couples who meet thier room night contract obligations.

we stayed in the GF and had a wonderful view of the castle and our custom wedding got over around 12-12:30am and around 3am about 10 big fireworks went off over the castle while we we out on the balcony still in our wedding attire. sipping on drinks it was so romantic and perfect the castle would change colors. we think the fireworks were just for us!!!!!! it was very romantic. because we stayed for 3 more nights before moving to WL and never saw anymore fireworks. it was in march and we were the only wedding that day. so we felt very special.

I was a Custom Vow Renewal last October. I had us booked into the Grand Floridian for three nights, the second night of which the Fairy Tale Weddings folks comp'ed us (that was our vow renewal night).

Since my husband and I were hosting a dessert party at the Grand Floridian's marina on the first night of our stay, I think the resort specifically gave us a marina view room so that we could watch the party preparations from our room (that was so thoughtful of them).

My husband and I and our children have been staying at the Grand Floridian Resort for years. It is our favorite resort.
